Eight more, and counting.

At some point the question needs to be asked......why is the US such a violent country? If you think it's mental illness, then why are American nuts more violent than other countries nuts........or why are there more nuts? Something is wrong.

That's easy, we glorify violence. It's a turn-on for a lot of people. On top of that, Americans tend to have terrible impulse control and prize instant gratification. That's why Americans are overweight with little savings even with a good income. Guns are just another tool in the "quick solutions" toolbox.

There is no such thing as gun control practiced in our country. Armed 13 year olds roaming our streets is precisely the dystopian hellscape our gun genocide culture supports and cheers on.

When your goal is unfettered access to guns, I guess 13 year olds being armed at 2:30am is what the end game looks like.

Yep, but those minors (lacking parental supervision?) serve to keep others (in the gang?) from getting arrested with those illegal guns. It’s likely that the 21 year old emptied the magazine (at some rival gang member?) and then tossed the gun to the 13 year old to stash just in case the police showed up.

TurtleDude:

Why is that, I wonder? Could it be the marketing of guns through a culture of fear and panic or are they attracted to the hobby and the culture for other reasons? Do you as an instructor ask them why they are coming to you for training? Is it because they fear the violent modern American experience being delivered to them by radio, television and the Internet and which has been created and marketed to them relentlessly or do they just want to join in the sport for the challenge and culture? I am after trends here, as in any group there are different motivations among individuals. So why are the preponderance of these women and girls coming to learn from you?

Cheers and be well.
Evilroddy.
Because it's fun as hell? It's a fun community of people. It's mostly men ;) It's a challenging and useful skill. It may be a prudent decision to be thus prepared depending on their life circumstances?

what are you talking about? We are the massacre capital of the world, and have been for a long time.
I'm talking about the recent increase in frequency in mass shootings

Do you need to read it again?

The level of acceptance of the gun violence in the States is mind boggling. I know ......its all about freedoms and rights. I'm sure that will comfort the families of the victims

Dunno what this story is but it sounds like the people in it have access to all the guns they want. Like it’s easy to get them.

Yep, not much harder than voting, just more expensive.

"Freedom doesn't mean safe, it means free."

Yep, not much harder than voting, just more expensive.

This makes absolutely no sense and if guns *were* as watched and regulated as voting, so many families would probably have so many members alive today.

"Freedom doesn't mean safe, it means free."

Wrong. There can be no true freedom if we are living under the tyranny of a small armed minority that believes in a genocidal version of this country.

How many Americans lost all their rights and civil liberties this week to feed the tree of...weekend shooting.

That freedom requires personal responsibility. In that sense, people need to ensure their own safety. That means acting and living in a manner that doesnt place you in danger unnecessarily.

Yes, people need to stop placing themselves in these super dangerous situations like going to the place they work, or a concert, or a movie.

Yep, because some loser decided to take a few innocent lives before committing suicide. He likely used his “stimulus” funds to buy that rifle, since the FBI took away his shotgun last year.

If you say so.

If you say so.

You spent two posts babbling about personal responsibility in response to mass shootings. You’re running on fumes.

The gunman is 19yo...

So you cant argue it and resort to personal attack? Who cares? 🤷

On March 16, a man who police say went on a rampage at three spas in the Atlanta area, killing eight people, was charged with eight counts of murder in connection with the attacks.

On March 22, a mass shooting occurred at a King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado. Ten people were killed, including a local on-duty police officer.

A man has been charged with second-degree murder after an 11-month-old girl was killed and two other children were injured in a weekend drive-by shooting in New York, authorities said.

According to Syracuse police, three girls were sitting in the back seat of a car when someone in a passing vehicle opened fire on them.

At least five people are dead, including two children, in what police in York County, S.C., called a “case of a mass shooting” that involved a former National Football League player as the gunman.

On the day of the President's E.O.'s on gun control, one person was killed and at least four others were wounded in a shooting at an industrial park in Bryan, Texas.

A confrontation in a Tennessee high school that involved police officers responding to a report of a possible armed man left one person dead and an officer wounded, authorities said. The school was the subject of media reports in February after three students were shot to death over a three-week span.

Today, Police were working to identify a gunman and determine his motive for opening fire at a FedEx facility near the Indianapolis airport, killing eight people and taking his own life in the latest mass shooting to rock the U.S.

Deputy Chief Craig McCartt of the Indianapolis police said the gunman started randomly shooting at people in the parking lot late Thursday night and then went into the building, where he shot himself shortly before police entered the facility.

McCartt said four people were killed outside the building and another four inside. Several people were also wounded, including five taken to the hospital.

The carnage took just a couple of minutes. “It did not last very long,” he said.

The US has had at least 45 mass shootings, according to CNN reporting and an analysis of data from the Gun Violence Archive (GVA), local media, and police reports. The US has seen at least 147 mass shootings in 2021.

It is past time for reasonable gun controls, but Republicans will not allow that to happen. They do nothing, and they say nothing as this murderous rampage continues.

Yep, because some loser decided to take a few innocent lives before committing suicide. He likely used his “stimulus” funds to buy that rifle, since the FBI took away his shotgun last year.

So he was able to access MORE weapons after a federal agency took away his weapon last year.

It’s weird, it’s like its super easy to get a gun.

See? You’re pretending I said something about you vs your babbling because you’re running on fumes.

Better luck explaining away the next mass shooting, I guess.

Disrespectfully and inaccurately portraying my responses negatively is exactly that. Better luck explaining away your failed views next time I guess.

Yep, as easy as spending money. He was likely able to pass the NICS BGC.

Yup. Got it. Ain’t no barrier to getting a slaughter machine. I think we’ve seen that to be the case repeatedly.
