If the Dems take over again they will emulate Heil Starmer and arrest people for insults to authority, Muslims, gays, females, blacks, politicians and call whatever speech they don’t like “hate speech”. They will use lawfare again with Perkins Coie directing it. The FBI will arrest Christians and conservatives for trespassing by calling it rioting. Soros and other phony charities will game US AID and we will all bask in the glory of progressivism.

These tariffs are terrible personal timing for me, as I'm in the market for a new American made Strat! Unfortunately my time-frame is several months out, and I fear I'm going to be a victim of Trump's tariff games.

I'm not at all happy about this.

I'd be bummed too.
I'm in the market for either a Nash, Gibson or Martin.
I've decided to wait at least two years because even though these are built in the US, some of the materials are imported so the cost will be exponentially higher.

When people like you support arresting people and disappearing them to foreign prisons without trials, it's pretty easy to start projecting that behavior onto others. I'm guessing projecting this sort of evil onto others helps you sleep at night.

It may or may not be justified at this point. I've seen retailers take advantage of inflation and increase the price even though they still got the product at wholesale prices before their costs went up.

I've a Martin T1K Uke that was built in Mexico, it's a fine instrument.
The whole reason that Martin is able to sell entry level instruments is because they are built across the border.
This is no longer the early 90's where they can build entry level guitars here and sell them for $700.

Ah, I take it you're doing a custom order?

I'm buying a regular production item, except I'm not ready to go today.

I've been saying it for years: This iteration of Fender Corp is now first and foremost a marketing company. But these tariffs are going to skew Fender's market-segmenting strategy.

The current Player II line is MiM, and considered a pretty good value (even if they're not my cup of tea). I suppose that will change. A lot of entry-level and value-level players are going to get hurt.

I have no idea what will happen to the American made products. But my guess is everything will go up.
