Dow down another 1500 points Sunday evening.

tailspin? how so? you mean decreasing inflation, solid gdp, good labor market, increasing stock market? that kind of "tailspin"? lol

Uhh, how was Biden decreasing inflation again? Don't you rmember the sharp rate hikes that the Fed had to resort to, well into Biden's term?
Is there some kind of recolleciton problem here?

Solid GDP? Increasing stock market? Good labor market You mean artificially purchased GDP from govt borrowing and inflationary spending?
I guess that's why so many blue-collar people voted against Democrats.

Were you not paying attention to all the threads posted in here about this stuff for the past few years?
On holiday, were you?

I don't know how a dropping stock market causes an end to the Republic.

I know you don't. Because a collapsing Dow is one of only several insider threats we face.

No he didn't - senile Biden (or whoever was in charge, since he was in a stupor) was just printing money, causing the rest of the world to lose confidence in the US dollar and move toward abandoning it.
(Something which they could still do - we're not out of the woods yet)

Takes no great brains to just print money (actually shows a lack of them)
But there aint no such thing as a free lunch. Bidenomics was sending the US into a tailspin. What a garbage presidency that was - worst in modern memory.

B.S.

Have we hit bottom yet?
Not really the news today:

1) 90-day tariff break - was incorrect
2) Europe can agree to 0 for 0 on industrial goods(Basically return to what we had before) - positive
3) 50% more tariffs on China if they don't remove 34% that they added by tomorrow. 50% on the 9th - extremely negative

Trump might do the 2nd to get some sort of a "win" for political reasons and Europe will be massively happy with that also being able to continue as it was and relative free trade with everyone else.

So number 2 might be possible if US and EU don't push too much on agriculture. Both sides are not gonna drop subsidies realistically.

I speak for many who don’t give a crap what slurs the left hurls for their tribal leaders. Racist, Nazi, white supremacists. They are so overused and hurled at anyone who isn’t in your little tribe that they draw a yawn.

I will continue to correctly define racism when it occurs, no matter how much others attempt to normalize it.

(Ditto for MAGA fake news)

The Dow is only 50 stocks. Many companies are operating internationally. We've had a 50% drop before, and we're still here. The price of stocks is what investors are willing to pay for ownership in the company. Revenue has not stopped yet, we do not have unemployment at 50%. When we get to that point, I will be concerned with the continuation of the current republic.

50% unemployment? Nice low bar you are giving trump not to hit his fat ass on.

Endless bottom. MAGA's losing more and more of their retirement money.
As I've said before, the market will go back up after the tariff negotiations are shaken out.

Has anyone told China?

Trouble is, so much damage has already been done. The worst part is the damage to our relationships with military allies and other friendly nations.

Rubbish. Once Trump is out of office, things will go back to normal in regards to our overseas alliances.
It's Trump they loath and ignore. Not the United States as a whole.

Another problem is, a bill passed by Congress that takes some control of the nation's tariffs is subject to a presidential veto. Gonna need a LOT of congressional Republicans to wise up to override the veto.

If things continue to go ↓ ↓ ↓, there will be more then enough for an override.

Well, unless the left agitates so much social strife and violence, more so than they are now with Tesla, something else might happen.

The yawn comes from someone trying to defend a racist post by saying everyone calls it racist...talk about circular reasoning. you funny.
Racist post? Where?

Racism isn’t hurting someone’s feelings or calling them out on their racism and bad actions.

Has anyone told China?
China doesn't really import stuff from the U.S.. These tariffs really only serve to punish U.S. consumers.
