Yes we import total goods from Canada than they do from us, but If you look at it differently, by total population then they actually import from us, 7 times more per person than we import from them.

And they have heavy tariffs on goods we sell to them. They are very protectionist and we take a screwing because of it.

Trump really ****ed us over with his last trade deal, huh?

Trump negotiated the agreement. Bragged about dictating the terms too.
And you guys are crying about big, bad Canada taking Americas lunch money? Because Trump told you to?
Is this fiasco about balance of trade? Or fentanyl and immigrants? Or that artificial line on the map?
Is there ever going to come a day when you'll hear what Trump says and see what he does and shake your head in disbelief?

I'll answer the question you ran away from: TRUMP NEGOTIATED THE DEAL HE IS SCREAMING ABOUT

The funny thing is these MAGAs like to just parrot Trump…but when they do, they realize their point of view is as crazy as hell and get ripped a new asshole after their comments.

It never ceases to amaze me how little self awareness they have since they never learn their lesson.

Then again, it could be the rubles talking.

I'm not so sure it's a lack of self-awareness.

Now, maybe this is me coddling my emotional state but I like to think that they hate themselves to sleep every night, knowing how far they sold their own soul down the river.

I doubt anyone is stupid and gullible enough to say all the shit they say in the face of evidence Fox cannot deny. I have to believe they know full well what utter shitbag imbeciles they're being. And when I believe that, I think about how they feel when they look in the mirror.....

...before bed and when they wake up.

Yep.

The trade imbalance with Canada is just a Trumpian red herring. Take out Canadian energy exports and there is no imbalance. We import oil, gas, and electricity from them because it is cheaper than making our own. If we want to balance the trade, we just need to produce our own oil and gas, and make our own electricity. Trump says that we don't need Canadian energy because we have so much, so instead of starting a highly damaging and costly trade war, why don't we spend a lot less and just produce more energy of our own so we don't need to import it? Trump can just sign an EO saying that by 2028(?) we will not be allowed to import energy from Canada. Done deal. No Trade war required.

Population shouldn't matter because the key ratio is imports/exports which ideally should be 1.0. Where imports roughly match exports.

So Canada should stop selling to us after a certain point?

What madman made this deal?

Canada puts tariffs as high as 241% on milk and 245% on some cheeses when import quotas are exceeded. I'd call that very protectionist. This is one area that is in need a big do-over for our country's benefit.

But Trump took care of all that stuff when he trashed NAFTA and dictated the terms of the USAMC agreement.
Are you saying Trump ****ed up?

So one Canadian should spend the same on American goods as ten Americans do on Canadian goods?
Are you ****ing serious?

It was done over.

By Trump.in 2019. With the USMCA.

I guess he’s a terrible deal maker, huh?
