I get the feeling that The Republican Party is a big part of the reason that the world is laughing at us, or that they think we're stupid. When people like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bauchman, and Rush Limbaugh are the poster childs of Republicans.

I guess you can't laugh at Obama unless you think state sponsored assassinations are funny.

I actually think Obama isn't doing a bad job at least compared to Bush. I'm sure thing's would have been much worse if McCain/Palin was in office.

Obama is about the same as Bush, only he's doubling down on the anti-terrorism tactics he and his party used to sabotage when Bush was in office.

Not seeing the comparison. Sorry.

And he's doubling down on Bush's failed bailout policies.

Obama is wayyyy better than Bush, his administration saved us from depression, killed Osama Bin Laden, and Omar Khadaffi.

Yes - he's just repeating the same mistakes that were made before  I don't get it.

Even his 'newer new ideas' are just expounding on things like TARP. And militaristically - his actions have been right along with Bush's 'doctrine'

Honestly: I think both major political parties are a mar on us. . . they've both JOINTLY run us into the ground and have failed - time and time again - to fix the problems we're dealing with.

In fact: they can't fix our problems because it's their policies that CAUSED our problems.

What did Bush ever have to bailout? The recession wasn't until he left office. I'm not a fan of Obama either, but at least he's not as dumb as Sarah Palin or Michelle Bauchmen or Rush Limbaugh.

The economy is basically the same place it was before Obama took office. In a coma.

TARP was in response to the failing bank and housing markets (etc) - that happened when he was in office alright.

But his issues span further back than that of course - The Patriot Act and so forth . . . nothing's really changed with Obama other than he's just making a mess of a messy situation.

Like cleaning up a cracked dozen eggs with a wet paper towel. . . where's the salt!

The first one is hard to prove they actually benefited the economy while the other two is just you sponsoring death.

Yeah it's the same, but if it wasn't for Obama it would be A LOT worse.

How do you know that?

No one has any idea if that's true of not - I wish we could learn of the alternate reality by jumping back to the point at which everything veered down a new path - but we can't.

Yeah, but do you really think that Bush had anything at all to do with TARP? That was on his way out.

Let me put it this way, if GM had failed millions would be out of work.

All recessions end. This one was over in June, 2009. What Obama policy could have affected the economy that soon?

Obama is putting is back into another recession.

And he really doesn't care.

No, most companies re-emerge from Chapter 11.

Obama canned 68,000 people at GM so he could take credit for hiring back 6,000.

My point isn't that whether or not The Administration knows how to run a country. My point is that it seems like on average the people that are supposed to represent The Republican Party are either dumb or crazy, while Obama is very intelligent. People in other countries actually respect Obama, but Sarah Palin is a punchline.

What were his grades?

The recession has been going on since 2008, it's a continuation of recession not Obama putting us into another one.

What's the evidence he's intelligent?

Oh I see - so if the president is on his way out then none of it is his charge?

He interceded several times to shape it into what it became.
He designated Paulson as the 'go to guy' for TARP
He supported it and pushed to see it through.
He signed it into law.

What - is this the Kerry faux pas here of "I was for it before i was against it?" or something . . .

Don't excuse Bush for that monstrosity that had people chanting 'read the bill'

No, it technically ended in June, 2009.
