Not to mention the ladies, gentlemen, boys, and girls abducted from their villages and paraded before men named Jefferson and Walker to be pinched, prodded, poked, and ultimately purchased.

Why would anyone with an IQ slightly higher than a zebra judge someone by their middle name or even take it into consideration? The only reasons I can come up with are racism, bigotry, prejudice and pure unadulterated stupidity.

What was Timothy McVeigh's middle name Navy Pride? It was James...What's your middle name Navy Pride? Tell everyone so we will know what to be afraid of in the future and who not to vote for!

You are so right, but Jefferson did own a Koran, was he a closet muslim? Anyway I realize your very concerned about the War on Terror and did you realize that 60 plots have been foiled since OKC bombing? Yes they don't get much Media attention like the recent "mercury spill" because they weren't Muslim looking. Giuliani - Change positions on abortion and gay marriage then we *might* be able to work something out. The divorce thing is against him, but not a definitive no stricktly because of that.

Romney - Probably the most electable of the bunch. Govenors are popular when it comes to getting elected prez. To be honest, don't know much about him personally. I know two senators from that state are not my favs. If the same folks that elected them, elected him - it doesn't give me much hope.

Out of that bunch, I would vote for Gingrich, who appears to be the only true Conservative among them. My only other choice would be Dr. Ron Paul, who may or may not be running on the Libertarian ticket.

That's an interesting link-I didn't know about most of that. Good examples of people who think they know better than the rest of us, think they are better than the rest of us.

There's a difference between the home-grown extremists (that exists on both the left and the right - though try to find examples of that on the ridiculously biased SPLC's website) that are insane and try to commit isolated acts of terror here and the massive organizations dedicated to doing so that exist overseas.

Of course, this has nothing to do with your rebuttal of NP's claim.

Yes, SPLC is very biased; for example they never talk of Jewish extremists; but the record by law does record these 60 domestic terrorist attempts. Jihadists do have a greater econo and organization base and way more followers in a Worldwide category, as well as way more agressive than the average US domestic terrorist--at this point, but I'm concerned about what can happen inside the US; what's going to happen when a domestic White and Christian Terrorist kills 500 people? Are we going to say, "Well, it's not that organized and it wasn't like he killed 3000 people so were not going to profile them or put resources on them or send them to a secret prison." What about if a terrorist group takes out most of the electric grid in the US right in the dead of winter and it results in 3400 deaths? Is over the 3000 death mark a magical number of sorts--a benchmark? And then we do something? Prevention is the cure to the disease and not after the fact, and the fact is we had the Order, OKC bombing, and Eric Rudolph, and many individuals and acts you never heard of--the war is already on and not giving these same White and Christian Terrorists the same profiling, interrogation, secret jailings, economic sanctions and all the like we give suspected Muslims will lead to another 911--this time they will be White and call themselves Christian. PREVENT TERRORISM, if you know of any ardent Bible thumping zealot or sympathizer for the cause of anti-abortion, promotes New World Order conspiracy theories, that the Congress and President aren't following the Constitution, has many guns, hopes and believes in WWW3 so he can become a survivalist--then report this person as a potential nut job terrorist, and call your local representative to start passing legislation tying the efforts of these guilt by association terrorists-sympathizers-supporters. FBI agents in Tennessee arrest farmhand Demetrius "Van" Crocker after he allegedly tried to purchase ingredients for deadly sarin nerve gas and C-4 plastic explosives from an undercover agent. The FBI alleges that Crocker, who local officials say was involved in a white supremacist group in the 1980s, tells the agent that he admires Hitler and hates Jews and the government. He allegedly also says "it would be a good thing if somebody could detonate some sort of weapon of mass destruction on Washington, D.C." Crocker is charged with trying to get explosives to destroy a building and other charges, and faces more than 20 years in prison if convicted.

You're answering your own question. The reason why it would be pointless to focus the same attention on extremist fundamentalist Christian groups in the US as we do on Al-Qaida isn't simply because Al-Qaida has killed more, it's because there's more to fight. If you have a network of tens of thousands of people worldwide, with millions who support or sympathize with them, thats something that needs to be addressed. These fringe right groups here aren't worth wasting that time on, because they're several orders of magnitude smaller.

Yes. I understand your point; let's await for another domestic terrorist attack and then do something about it--no cure or prevention for the diseases, typical American policy. Do you think the relatives and friends of the victims are just going to say, "Thank God GW was targeting violent muslims, so white and christian domestic terrorism could have a chance?" Guess so. But I thought the Pentagon said we could fight the war on Terror on more than one front? hmmm.

Who said they're not? You think that law enforcement in this country has completely ignored these fringe groups?

When they have a network the scope of Al-Qaida, then they should get equal attention. Until then, they're being quite significantly monitored.
