Do you understand repression and the effects that slavery brought that still exist in the U.S.A. today?
This is my first poll up here and sorry if belongs somewhere else and I did screw it up. lol.
I am familiar with repression. And can try to understand it too. For the people here that say 'give me a break'... how about if YOU were the VERY unwanted minority? And no one wanted to give YOU a job because of your skin color? PLUS the physical threats of violence..... the burning of crosses.... the needless killing and torture of people that were of your skin color....
I can also say that Ive not exactly been to innocent in this matter. Buuuuuuuut.... Ive had a large amount of reverse-racist **** happen to ME. ANyhow my Italian upbringing didnt exactly favor blacks.

Blacks are still being repressed, mainly by democrats. It has little if anything to do with their ancestors being slaves.
Blacks need to be treated as equals, not led to believe they can't succeed on their own. The longer they think they are entitled to things because of the color of their skin, the longer they will be repressed.
Even if what you posted were true, it would still be wrong. The very nature of repression is that the repressed do not have a say in the matter. This is not a feature of the scenario you have concocted.
But, the "old guard" never dies off.Obviously there is some stigma attached to being of the race that was formerly in slavery. The African-Americans were treated like second class citizens from 1860 to 1964, and later in some areas, Things keep getting better as the old guard dies off, yet repression still exists here and there in America.
Your Italian ancestors here in the U.S. were a very unwanted minority. Italian immigrants were, let's see, wops, guineas, dagos, greaseballs, goombahs. They were segregated, disliked, derided and ridiculed. Know what they did? They worked hard, learned our language, educated their children and went on.
The Chinese in the U.S. wre a very unwanted minority. Chinese immigrants were chinks, slopes, nips. During the Gold Rush, Chinese girls were brought over and sold into slavery. Know what they did? They worked hard, learned our language, educated their children and went on.
Every immigrant group since The Pilgrims has been an unwanted minority.
Far too many blacks in the United States today don't educate their children and don't even learn our language. They are held back by their own prejudices, the prejudices of their spokesmen, and the opression of our entitlement programs just as surely as they were by their masters before the Emancipation Proclaimation. And it's their own fault.

Repress is to hold back. I think Dems hold back minorities by treating them like they are less than equal, so are entitled to special treatment such as affirmative action. When is enough enough and we say white people have made all amends necessary? Until that happens, blacks will be held back and racial strife will continue.
To me a hopeful sign for the future was in the 2010 election. The republicans elected several minorities. When more blacks start voting for Republicans, the heavy thumb of the Democratic party will be removed.
The only effects that there are is what is in the mind of people with a chip on thier shoulder because they think that there should be. No one that experianced slavery before the end of the civil war is alive today.
As for the third option in your poll...get real.
