Do you consider yourself a prude or prudish?

I don't think I'm a prude, because I'll discuss whatever any one has to say and say live and let live, but I definitely do not share very freely my intimate details. Modest, is a better adjective for me.

Not sure I'd say I'm prudish, but I do have what would be considered pretty old-fashioned values. I take intimate relationships very seriously, and I'm prone to keeping my private life private. I think that fidelity and devotion are good things, and it kind of embarrasses me what some people will brag about on a forum full of people they don't know. If this makes me prudish, then I guess I'm not at all uncomfortable with being a prude. :)

I read a few recent posts to my hubby and he said...."You posted that on the internet?"

I just laughed. I mean, who would want to track me down in real life from this site? I'm much more relaxed in the information I post on this site, than say FB. I'm just Missypea here, pretty benign.
I post things on DP that I would never post on Facebook for family & friends to see. I do have an image to uphold. :2razz:

It kinda takes me back when I hear/read people talking about details of their sex lives with their spouses. I really don't think it's any of my business what you do in your bedroom. I mostly stay away from the Sex & Sexuality forum because of that.

That's exactly how I feel about the abortion threads.....Meh

Meh, its an anonymous forum and people have sex lives. I will commit myself to my wife and only my wife, but I am not going to be dishonest or ashamed of myself either. I have sex as frequently as possible. I enjoy it. My wife enjoys it. It makes us closer to each other and we both have our likes and dislikes in that area. Its not as if there are whips, chains, midgets, or digsbe involved. However we enjoy it as a good for of recreation and amusement. There is nothing wrong with that and nothing to be ashamed of.

Mega, I'm not saying to be ashamed of it... far from it. Some stuff is just TMI to me. Different strokes for different folks, ya know?

Compared to society's standards, probably.

Compared to DP, hell no.

I am. Some things (topics) just make me turn away. Probably due to my age.

And you?

I wouldn't say prude. It's beneficial to have lines you've drawn for yourself. It's what makes you an adult. Children strive to have no standards. Even if I disagree with someone I'm talking to about where and what they drew their lines I respect that they actually have them.

Look at what passes for humor in the movies now. It's like watching a script written by a 12 year old whose parents aren't watching him at the moment.
