Do Trump supporters want to make Canada the 51st state? Trump brings it up all the time. Trump supporters say he is joking, but he has said several times he is not joking. So do Trump supporters support Trump's quest to make Canada the 51st state? It seems like that would tip the scales in Congress towards the Democrats. Would Trump supporters rather Canada become a US territory or Canada remain a sovereign country?
 
His cultists want whatever he tells them to want, he demands loyalty and they can no longer think for themselves.

I never was and never would support a narcissistic anti-American idiot like criminal racist trump, but I like Canada enough to hope that they never lower their standards to be any part of this corrupt and declining shell of a country.

America is unrecognizable now, walking down the path of Fascism. Canadians are too smart to want to be any part of this failing newborn dictatorship.

I don't think they really want it to be a state. For one thing, it would get about as much representation in Congress as California has, pretty much ensuring that the left maintains the House and likely also the Presidency in any future elections from the time it's made a state.

It's actually a similar reason as to why the majority of people on the right would not want Texas to successfully secede, at least not if they have thought about the implications for more than just a few seconds. Texas being gone would mean less electoral votes for them and less members of the House on the right.

I think it is trolling and a bit of a threat. Also, Trump is a delusional narcissist. He says things that make no sense but then because he can't handle admitting he's wrong ever, he doubles down. The same is true for Greenland. I do think the threat against Greenland is higher though because they are smaller and less populated than Canada by far. MAGA go along with whatever Trump says because their egos cannot accept admitting they're wrong about Trump, so they can't admit most of the time when he's wrong.
 
Beyond MAGA not caring in general, the whole point of such ideas is to shock the system and reinforce cult behavior. Those who remain in the cult become more committed. The exit ramp was many years ago. Like a black hole, once you reach a certain point gravity takes over and escape isn't an option.
 
Not only no, but ABSOLUTELY NOT. Canada would be a giant blue state like California. One of the dumber ideas Trump has had.
 
I think Trump is trying to act like a dictator. He is copying Putin and Xi nothing more.
 
Voted no. Make Alberta the 51st state, and the rest of Canada can be a territory that has to earn its statehood.
 
I doubt any Canadian province would petition for a Trump government.

Far too Fascist for most Canadians. Tump even had the dumbassery to say "Never say never" after PM Carney had directly told him "Never"...."certain things are not for sale".

P.S. Trump's Oval Office is looking ever more gaudy every time I see it on television. It looks pretty much like any room in a Russian oligarch's mansion.

A more likely scenario is California, Oregon and Washington seceding to become the 11th Canadian province.

Some in those states might think they'd like to but our cultures and political systems are incompatible.

I'd rather give up Alberta than take on any US state.

Ontario is the wealthiest province, and in the USA that would place that province slightly more richer than Mississippi.
Shudder when we think of the rest.

This is why Canada would have to accept territory status before statehood. The entire country has a smaller economy than multiple US states despite a larger population. We'd need to figure out what they're doing wrong before granting them the privilege of being a US state.
 
Or how about you just don't get what you want and everyone laughs at the very idea?
 

The only way Canada would accept becoming a territory of the US is if the US invaded Canada and that would cause a lot of problems and would be an insane overreaction to whatever issues Trump has with Canada, no amount of economic arm twisting would convince Canada to become a US territory.

Also I doubt the people of Quebec will like being forced to give up French:

Canada has zero interest in accepting any such thing, as they’ve said.....dozens of times at this point.

Dude if California seceded and became its own country, it would be the one annexing Canada. Add in Oregon and Washington, and British Columbia would join by default. Vancouver is already a suburb of Seattle.
