They took a big swing and missed with Deja Foxx, the model/TikToker, who lost in the 9th district of Arizona today. Not good for the candidate backed by David Hogg and AOC.

I am not sure if this plan of going with fresh faces like Deja Foxx and re-tread candidates like Beto O’Rourke, Colin Allred, and Joaquin Castro is going to work.

What is the appeal of someone like O'Rourke? Again? He's a loser.

The Democrat party appears to be a complete mess - no leadership, no direction, run by ineffective old-timers that seem to lack a spine.

I would be worried if I were a Democrat. It seems like a lost party.

Yes, they plan to lose. Because they don't dare anything else.

Aside from Hate Trump's good deeds and fighting for illegals ?
I don't think so .

Where's Nancy when you need her?

Watching the far right MAGAsphere circle jerk about what the democratic plan is, is my plan for the midterm.

Probably, same as the Republicans, to win more than they lose.
How they each go about it is the reason I don't vote for either of them.

Their plan is the same as the election in 2024.

Hate Trump.

They have zero policy alternatives to run on.

It seems like you're the one who's worried. All this "we need to HELP the poor Dems, let's give them advice" silliness is so transparent.

If you thought Pubs had a chance at the midterms you'd just be sitting back, calm and easy.

Instead we have a post like every other day from MAGAs saying Dems "should be worried" and that the party's dying or something.

Dems are worried about messaging, that's true. But amazingly, MAGAs seem to be even more worried. If you've got it in the bag, what's all the fuss about?

I think they need to rename the party to something like "Anti-Maga", since this is all they speak about. Or maybe "Boogey Man Chasers", for they must create boogey men for their cult to angst against. They simply are NOT the Democrat Party anymore. Possibly another name could be "Antidepressants Are Us", seeing most suffer from mental disorders. Hell, they elected a demented President and a kackling VP.

There was no plan in 2024 either.
That is 100 % not true. Democrats had a plan, but it did not work out. Just as republicans had a plan in 2020, and democrats in 2016, and republicans in 2012 and 2008. Just because you do not know about something does not mean it does not exist.

The Democrats do not need a plan. The Presidents party loses seats and/or majorities in Congress. The GOP will lose the HoR, it’s a foregone conclusion.

Voters are impulsive and fickle in a system designed to be slow and deliberate. Elected officials have to campaign on unrealistic expectations knowing they can never satiate the “I want it now” electorate.

Yes, they do. They'll have unserious Gen-Zers and Millennials who have a really good TikTok and YouTube game platforming unserious socialistic policies primarying incumbents who are on life support or in a nursing home.

Do the Democrats have a plan for the midterms?

Nope.

They'll find a way to lose an election they should win. Then they'll brag about losing only a few more seats in Congress when experts had predicted they'd lose dozens. Some will even claim that they actually won the election, even though they are actually still in the congressional minority. Others will cry about how they would have won but were gerrymandered into defeat (even though the Dems are actually pretty good at the gerrymander themselves). They'll also cry about big money in politics (even though they often out-raise Republicans).

We're tempting the moirai to give the Ds a win they won't know what to do with, and from which they will draw all the wrong lessons.

If they had a plan would you support them?

In most modern democracies like Canada we snort coffee out our nose when we hear Democrats refer to Republicans as "corrupt", and vice versa.

Countries with independent election commissions and very strict donation limits can only gasp in horror at what goes on in American elections.

Harris and Trump both had donors that contributed hundreds of millions of dollars. In Canada people would be jailed for that.

American exceptionalism at its finest.

Why do you care? Just feeling the need to score some points today?

As long as Democrats do not revert to calling the majority of the nation bigots in a haze of identity politics and other divisive stupidity, rather focus on the middle class and the economics of what Trump and MAGAs intend to do to them, then there is a good chance of at least flipping the House. Given the seats up in the Senate, I have my doubts on flipping both.

Majority? How do you figure that?

Ok, now we know how some Righties feel about the Democratic party. And so? Like we didn't know before and needed you to inform us?
