I'm not aware of any lies told about it. 538 gave Trump something like a 30% chance to win. Well if you had a three sided coin, flipped it, and you guessed right, would that shock you? Probably not - about 1 time in 3 that would happen.

I agree the Mueller investigation was hyped, but AFAIK most of the reporting was fair enough, at least what I read.

My best coping skill is to refuse to watch cable news, or listen to talk radio. I don't need to be made any dumber, and I find the format un-informing versus informing in most cases, Fox in particular, but we don't watch any of it in our house, not ever for basic programming. Election coverage makes me sick. It's horse race crap or partisan hacks repeating their talking points, and IMO it's a big part of the problem in this country with politics.

My cousin was raised Liberal and works for CNN and talks constantly about how far Left the company is. It may not seem Liberal to you (perhaps because of confirmation bias) but it's extremely left just as all the others are.

No offense, but if you're an actual right-libertarian, of course the "media" is left wing, because you sit on the far right fringe. The clue is that the news orgs are for-profit, and they're not in business to appeal to the fringe, but to the most viewers possible. It's more likely that the "media" as a whole reflect the audience and their broad political preferences than the alternative.

What's kind of funny is the NYT for example is labeled far left wing by right wing kooks. But the left wing of the Democratic party thinks the NYT is anything but "liberal" - more corporate or neoliberal shills than left wing.
