I'm honestly surprised at how libertarian the poll results are, especially for the ones that I thought would be more controversial. It seems a majority of respondents support assisted suicide even without a terminal illness, and a near-majority support letting people use meth/fentanyl...views that seem genuinely extreme and shocking to me. I also thought buying sex and paid surrogacy would be a lot more controversial, but I'm in the very small minority there. I realize that DP isn't the general electorate, but it's a good reminder to me that there's a whole world of bodily-autonomy views that are well to the left of where I'm at.
The four poll options that I support are the ones where there's the most consensus, at least on this forum: Adults should be allowed to have abortions, sell sex, use marijuana, and get sex change surgeries.
