Dig In Everyone- Gas Is Going To $5 Per Gallon: First In California, Then Across The Country

I just paid $2.89 a gallon in Orangeburg, South Carolina...yesterday.
Yeah but you're closest grocery store is Dollar General.

Sorry. I couldn't resist.

🤗

I'll bookmark this and see how it ages OK? Betcha it ages like Trump being right on the travel ban, man made China Kung Flu, Mueller tapping his phones, no Russian collusion on and on an on(y)
🤣 Hilarious that you believe Trump was right about anything!

Right wingers still haven't figured out the connection between recessions and gas prices.

Nobody told you to buy things that are not gas efficient.
It is very efficient for my needs. With my 1 ton diesel truck I can haul/tow 20,000 lbs. of people and equipment and still get 18 miles to the gallon on the highway. Most cars on the road have 1 person in them so do the math. They are maybe hauling 200bs and using how much fuel to accomplish it? The problem is we need a leader running this country and instead we have a puppet in instead. Of course the oil companies are making lots of money and most likely pulling the strings.

That's pretty cheap. It's closer to $9 a gallon in the UK.

Don't like it? Buy an electric car.

Those damn poor and working people who refuse to lay out $30,000 for an electric car or buy a house to put in a charging station at. Any person who won't lay out at least $40k for an electric car and charging station should just have to walk. There is NO excuse for not having $40k, none whatsoever. Anyone who doesn't have at least $40K is a lazy ass bum who deserves whatever happens to them - the new attitude of the Democratic Party towards poor and working people.

if it is efficient for your needs, wtf are you complaining about then? Do not buy equipment that you cannot afford to maintain or provide fuel for.

you do realize that a good many condos and apartment complexes also have charging stations...hell you can plug it in at a trailer house. Also, 30 or 40 k is not expensive.....My VW new was 32k and it isn't electric and I have to pay for maintenance on the friggin thing. You don't pay for any oil change in an EV nor do you need to change transmission fluid, nor do you really need to change the brakes on it....the only thing you worry about is the battery that lasts for 500k to 800k depending on which EV you have....

Yeah, why don't poor and working class people live in places like that and buy a $30K EV? What's wrong with those people?

Every time I see a post like this I think of all the F150s I see on the road.

I don't have a problem. I just feel sorry for the elderly on fixed incomes that were already having to choose between food or medicine while sitting in a cold house because they cannot afford the high price of energy. But they won't have to worry about that anymore because when the democrats get done raising the price on everything they won't be able to afford any of it. With all the tax increases they will probably lose their home.

@VySky called it in May 2021. All the nose pickers were wrong. #suckit

A blind man could of forecasted that. Seen it coming. ^^^^

I haven't seen $4 here, and I'm in NY.....lol

BTW it's funny as hell seeing Republicans all of a sudden worried about the poor and working classes... These Republicans are the same people who think the current Fed minimum wage of $7.25 an hour is too high.... lol

Minimum wage is an incentive to improve ones marketing value (school/trades etc) for higher paying jobs

I haven't seen 5 dollar gas here.
Yea, nationally its only 58% higher than a year ago. Jen says we have the money

Dam democrats are a cancer. So many people are going to suffer under Beijing Joey Xiden's dementia tour.

---------------------------------

Get ready for $5 per gallon gasoline - especially if you live in California.

At least, that was the contention of a new WSJ op-ed that claims higher taxes and environmental regulations are both driving up the price of gas.

Author Allysia Finley notes that the average cost at the pump in California is now $4.18 a gallon, pointing out that in 2017, Democrats in the state's legislature raised a tax on each gallon by 20.8 cents over three years.

Anyone that believes that Biden has anything to do with the high price of oil is severely misinformed and biased.

In fact, he is doing what he can to bring the price down

Biden administration to tap oil reserves in bid to tamp down rising gas prices

In addition, this (the chart below) is what has happened to oil during the past 18 months. Under Trump, it went from $18 to $60 and under Biden it went from $60 to $85 but because of what Biden did (raise production of oil and release oil reserves), oil is back down to $68 (where it closed on Friday).

Under Trump, oil went up $42 per gallon and under Biden, it is up $8.

As such, if you are going to blame a president for the price of oil going up, Trump has a lot more fault that Biden.

That Biden was going to f things up and bring $5 gas. 👍

Thank you for proving what I said.

At some point, Americans will need to learn that the $2.00/gallon gas is not a baseline. It's recession pricing. How many cycles of economic disaster do you have to go through before you realize this?
