Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

You know damn well we're talking about recent times. I never figured you for dirty trick debate tactics. I'll remember.

Next time I'll be a mind reader so I know it's recent times. How far recent, less than 50 years I guess.

Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

Please name two of Obama's policies that were "bad for you, personally". Thanks.

1) Dodd-Frank made my banking a lot more expensive.

2) Obamacare has personally been a kick in my ass.

Already addressed with another poster.

Even putting aside his constant "don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining" propagandistic gushing over the alleged "economic recovery" that didn't really happen (at least not how his administration liked to claim), the skyrocketing insurance costs brought about by the ACA, or the substantially increased costs of living brought about by inflation exacerbated by his fiscal policy, the manner in which his Administration gutted defense agencies, and failed to make a priority of cyber defense, lead to my security clearance taking almost a full two years being renewed. That made it basically impossible for me to move forward in my military career until the issue was finally resolved early this year.

Maybe your should have gone back a few thousand years ago so we could talk about how bad it was for blacks under Egyptian pharaoh rule.

Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

I don't remember any President being as clearly partisan as Obama. On numerous occasions he made comments like "the other side of the aisle" and "they drove the car into the ditch" which clearly indicated that he saw himself as President of Democrats and not the United States. Bush and other previous President complained about Congress as a whole, not just the opposing party. Surrogates may have criticized the other party but not the President, until Obama. Words are important and Trump should never align himself with one party as Obama did. He probably won't because he is almost as much of a Democrat as Republican but he does say a lot of inappropriate things.

Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

He divided the country by race worse than ever, so he was a president for the Democrats. That's what they do.

Trump is making the division worse.

Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

No, you're trying to play Monday Morning quarterback, who knows what happened since, and trying to place that on Zimmerman back then. It's doesn't work.

You're drifting way off topic dude, and I don't want the attention on that.

Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

You are being totally disingenuous with this post. No one denied racism. I denied it in the Martin case, and the Brown case....................cases that Obama acted inappropriate over. I'm pretending nothing of the sort, you are pretending something that never happened in those cases, actually happened. It wasn't proven.

Race is part of America. It is not reasonable to expect any and every president to ignore it exists. I expect every president to say or do something acknowledging race is part of America.

Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

Trump is making the division worse.

The popular Left's habit of "crying racist" at anything they vaguely dislike, and making up wild stories to libel their opposition, is making things worse. Trump hasn't even done anything yet...
Well, other than to go deliberately out of his way to moderate his tone since being elected, and to try and reach out to the people who are supposedly "frightened" by him.

So far, they're having none of it. However, that honestly says more about them than it does Trump.

The idiot was out buying ingredients for a dangerous drug cocktail ('purple drank'), and responded to being questioned by trying to straight up beat a man half his size to death.

Whatever Zimmerman may have "assumed" regarding Trayvon Martin, it clearly wasn't too far off of the mark. The kid was a dangerous thug.

Allegedly

Re: Did you care if Obama was a "President for All Americans"?

Allegedly

"Allegedly" my ass. The courts found no reason to doubt Zimmerman's version of events, and that really should have been the end of it. People are just blatantly making up stories to keep controversy alive for its own sake at this point.

You have proof he was making drugs. Such a thing can't be proven. It boils down to character assassination. If you think it was about self defensive, there is no reason to go there.

It usually seems that way, when the messenger speaks. That is why they are disliked and so many have been shot.

Crying racist has worked quite well and for some time for liberals. Now the chickens have come home.

The fact of the matter is that Martin had a history of delinquent behavior. He also had traces of THC in his system the night he was killed, and simply happened to be carrying two of the three ingredients needed to make a homemade drug cocktail using cough syrup.

The facts speak for themselves.

If it was self defense for Zimmerman, there is no reason to go to the lenghths you are. You are simply engaging in unnecessary character assassination.

No, I'm reciting facts regarding Trayvon Martin, which go a long way towards explaining his behavior, and therefore the way things turned out that night.

For that matter, why should you even care about his "character?"

That is not at all what he did. I'm almost seeing your post as disingenuous, by the way you made extremely simplistic. If you're going to pull that ****, I'm not going to talk to you about it.

No he isn't, he's calling it what it is. He's ending the bull****, that everyone already knows exists. Illegal aliens flowing over the borders without regulation is bull****, and anyone with common sense can see that. He says he's bringing law and order; well it about time since Obama didn't do anything for 8 years.

Because he is dead. Judging him goes nowhere. If it was about self defense, there is no reason to bring up every school detention. He was a teenager, and no teen is perfect.

It is possible to accomplish law and order and secure boarders without the divisive rhetoric. There is still going to be race issues, immigration, BLM, KKK, etc., and Trump is looking like the opposite of a unifier.

Only divisive to those who are satisfied with no border security and letting millions of illegal aliens (law breakers) stream in. To those who are tired of it, it's music.

I am saying presidents can't ignore race. If that is what you expect, it's unlikely, and I don't expect Trump to ignore it either. Trump's election does not signify putting out the fire, it's the opposite.
