Democracy is what this country is all about. Americans vote and Americans vote for who we want our leaders to be, up to and including the president of the United States. Before voting, Americans learn and study the candidates and the nominees running in order to decide who they want to vote for, even if the candidates are less than perfect. In impeaching Trump and wanting to bar him from ever holding office again, Democrats want to subvert the will of the voters. Why are democrats so scared about Trump actually having the possibility of being president again? I thought the 2020 was the end all referendum on Trump being president and Biden won with the most votes garnered by a nominee in the history of the country and that the Republican party was dead forever? Don't democrats actually believe that? Are democrats so scared in American's ability to decide who they want to vote for? Why is it THEIR business to decide who will or will not be president instead of the American voter's business? Where has our democracy gone if Democrats feel they can dictate who cannot be president, against the will of what the voters would have decided (assuming that Trump could actually win again)? Is this Russia or communism where one party decides to squash any competition they deem to be a threat to their survival? Is that what we have here, a democratic election like Russia has, where one party rules and any competition is eliminated by them?

Democrats are simply following the rules laid out in the constitution.

It's called doing your job

We want to subvert a sociopath from turning this country into something its not and never was. That was attempted on Jan 6. Liberals could see this coming and did all we could to prevent it for your sake as well as our own.

Besides, why are you bitching when the events of Jan 6 were the biggest attempt to overturn the will of voters in living memory?

So, you're saying the hell with what the voters would want? Is this Russia? By the way, Democrats spent four solid years screaming about the integrity of the 2016 election and you want to bitch about two months?

The will of the voters has already been constitutionally verted. It is the Trump Cult mad-mob engaging in subversion. Get that straight.

Joe Biden was certified by the House and Senate as the President-elect of the United States. Joe Biden won the electoral college. Joe Biden received the most votes. Joe Biden's presidency is the will of the voters who participated in the 2020 election. Donald Trump losing the 2020 election is the will of the voters who participated in the 2020 election.

I have read this 2016 narrative over and over. Quite frankly, trumpians sell this false narrative to attack Dems and defend trump. Integrity of 2016 election, your kidding? Democrats as whole never questioned the integrity of the 2016 election.

Democrats questioned the integrity of trump and trump's campaign, period.

The problem and truth is: Absolutely Dems began investigating trump. His actions, his campaigns actions, his families actions, Russia's actions 2016 warranted investigation. No, candidate should partner with the Russian propaganda machine.

Trumpians pointing to Dems investigating trump and they don't agree, is where their truth ends about Dems.

2016 Hillary Clinton conceded the next day of election to trump. Minor challenges happened during safe harbor, by legal means and the contesters accepted the courts decision.

No 60 plus ridiculous lawsuits using rhetoric and propaganda to the public about the lawsuits, while attacking the courts decisions.

No inflaming Hillary supporters with a trump steal for 2 months as a plan to overturn the election.

Back to the Meuller investigation.

There was never any delusion, unlike the trumpians current delusion, that the Meuller investigation would ever overturn the election. Reality, Dems and non-trumpians were concerned that trump and his pyschophants would be willing to go to bed with Putin in order to win elections.

I look at it this way, the Russian interference 2016 was a propaganda campaign and all voters had the ability to sift
through the minutiae. So, Putin/ trump 2016 election, debatetable influence. Hillary was flawed, but proganda amplified her flaws. Interestingly, she still won popular vote.

Trump, his family, his campaign consistently obstructed justice throughout Meuller probe. Dems became more embolden to get to the bottom of trump and his secrets, why?

When someone is investigated and uses power and influence to hide from investigators, well come on now, obvious. But, no, this was not an effort to reverse the 2016 election.

In the end this was not 4 years of trying to turn over the 2016 election. It wasn't 4 years of unsubstantiated review of donald.

No, Dems actions during trump's term were the result of trump's actions, obstructions, lies, above the law attitude.

Dems were doing their jobs trying to keep a narcassitic, zealot in check.

The GOP as evident this election cycle, leading to sedition and insurrection were derelect in their duty.

I am saying that the US shouldn't have elected someone so interested in criming, forcing the necessary opposition.

You're embarrassing yourself. Still.

Yep, all true. So why would demorats favor preventing Trump from losing again if he somehow managed to win the republicant POTUS primary in 2024?

From a governance perspective, do you think it makes sense to have the strategy Trump employed be one that's used without consequence? What do you think it would mean for future elections if losing candidates apply the same method and spread the same rumors ad nauseam despite failed legal challenges and findings from government agencies?

Wonder where the OP got that idea.........

......oh wait, no we don't.

Suck it up buttercup, you lose.

Putin is proud of you though.

I thought the thread was about the "will of the voters" who participated in the 2020 election?

Hmm... are you doubting the ability of Joe “Where am I?” Biden to handle that as he assured us all that he would have? ;)
No, I'm saying why would you give a guy who lied about the first pandemic a chance to lie about another?

And your impression of what I said is incomprehensible from what I wrote.

Maybe I can help you out a bit, this post shows a consistency in not understanding the facts.

Before voting, Americans learn and study the candidates and the nominees running in order to decide who they want to vote for

Sadly, this does not occur. Americans vote on sound bites principally hence the flood of 30 second commercials that candidates pay through the nose for.

In impeaching Trump and wanting to bar him from ever holding office again, Democrats want to subvert the will of the voters.

Not at all, they want to protect America.

Why are democrats so scared about Trump actually having the possibility of being president again?

He nearly ended democracy this time. He destroyed our long term economy. He empowered our enemies. He caused the biggest divide since the civil war.
He brought us alternate facts. Should I go on?

Are democrats so scared in American's ability to decide who they want to vote for?

Well, to be fair, the average American is a walking talking idiot.

You are living in opposite town.

Didn't the voters decide that Trump should not have a second term? Has Trump admitted he lost?
Seems to me Trump has screamed about the bad Democrats and pretty much anyone who does not agree with him for over four years.
