It's a shame you thought the above an adequate reply because you shan't be let off the hook. You stated that I was a right winger who is so "Gohmert-stupid" that I thought history somehow ended around 1970. I pointed out that woke mobs, aka democrats, aka 'left-wingers' were the ones that has assumed that history is fair game, long before 1970, and that ANY widely adopted social views couldn't excuse prior sin.

HENCE, it was your side of the ideological divide that established that regardless of what current institutions, businesses, leaders, etc. believed that the present must atone for the past by erasure of statutes, personas, institutional names and iconography.

You can't have it both ways squidgy. If names, icons, figures, etc. must be eradicated for their association with racism, then OF COURSE the democratic party, home of historical racism, apartheid, and "concentration camps" (as AOC would put it) must change its name and it's donkey (clearly now a racist symbol) must be eradicated.

The fact that today's Democrats no longer claim to be racist - their legacy cannot be erased without the erasure of their historical identity and symbolism.

Sword cuts both ways mate.

a) Repubs are not the party of racism, by and large.
b) Democrats are still the party of racism, by and large, and in a more modern form.

That is one of two things, either one of Putin's plants, or an actual American that Putin refers to as an indoctrinated useful idiot, and this country is full of them. Fox News After Dark should be eradicated by whatever means necessary. I will say that I think some of these useful idiots are willful. They have no problem with helping to bring about an authoritarian government that is setup to protect the corrupt from any legal process, in fact we've already seen how they are above the law, so when you hear the phrase "no one is above the law" you know it is bull****, I mean, please! They also help to protect their ill gotten gains, and their power. What these idiots, both useful and willful, will get out of this of course is nothing. When they eventually get tired of that nothing and start to complain, that's when the boot, or knee, will start pressing down on their neck, but by then it would be way too late.
I heartily recommend the Netflix Jeffery Epstein documentary if you want to see the privilege the powerful enjoy, and it's not just republicans. So while ultimately Epstein, and Weinstein got proper justice because of extraordinary pressure, which sadly now needs to be applied constantly, don't kid yourself, there are still plenty out there that are currently above the law.
What good is system that cannot enforce its own checks and balances? It's very evident that this system is broken.

As for Gohmert, I have seen him start trouble, attack Democrats, kiss Trump ass, but what the hell had he done for all Americans?

I don't know if Sen. Byrd ever disavowed his racist past. Are you saying if he did then it's okay to have office buildings named after him? If any of the confederate statesmen of the past did too shouldn't their statues stay up?
