Link. I've noticed that the MSM is being a bit fatalistic about Biden and the dems. Don't be lulled into thinking that the direction and ultimate fate of the country has changed.

OMG! Moms may get maternity leave! People may have access to healthcare even if their family hits hard times! Oh the horror of it all!

I'm with you! Let's reverse course and do what the Republicans do: lie and repress the vote. And don't forget to try to overthrow the legitimate government.

I see the "What's Wrong with Kansas" mentality is out in full force this morning. Don't these rubes know what's good for them?

People loved T****. Even worse, they still do. That's how dumb our people are.

It's no big mystery. The Dems are pushing the toxic pile of shit known as progressivism, and the American people are wisely rejecting it.
Don't tell me, you supported the toxic piece of shit that the American people rejected November 2020?

Why not be more honest about what was actually being proposed? The plan (no dropped) was to give only ‘large’ employers (mostly corporations) a new federal subsidy, those working for ‘small’ employers were purposefully left to fend for themselves.

The nonsense that “access to” X means forcing others to pay the providers of X is silly. Does the fact that I must pay my rent using *gasp* my own money mean that I have no “access to” housing? If I “fall on hard times” does that mean I should have my rent paid by “the rich”?

I have no objection to having some ‘means tested’ “safety net” programs for the elderly, disabled or temporary assistance to those unable to work (e.g. UI or workman’s compensation), but folks able to work should not be permitted to live ‘on the dole’ for extended periods of time.

Progressivism is so toxic that all their policies poll incredibly well.

Nevermind that McAuliffe is a clintonian center right pol and his loss has zip to do with progressivism.

Ironically enough, this position you've stated here was put even more clearly and more forcefully by one of the left's biggest heroes:

A large proportion of these unemployed and their dependents have been forced on the relief rolls. The burden on the Federal Government has grown with great rapidity. We have here a human as well as an economic problem. When humane considerations are concerned, Americans give them precedence. The lessons of history, confirmed by the evidence immediately before me, show conclusively that continued dependence upon relief induces a spiritual disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber. To dole our relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit. It is inimical to the dictates of a sound policy. It is in violation of the traditions of America.

Polls are one thing, but voting on them is what counts. Even Californians are starting to see the light:

OMG! Moms may get maternity leave! People may have access to healthcare even if their family hits hard times! Oh the horror of it all!

And the Dems sold it so well! How could it be possible people don't buy what you don't sell? Reps are peanut barkers and snake oil sales. They sell. It may not do you any good, but it sells. Dems couldn't sell water to someone dying of thirst in the desert. They can't give it away.

The people who matter in the Democratic Party aren't upset about last night. They know they are living on borrowed time right now...and their time is running out. That's why they are trying so hard to get what they can right now. That's why they are doing their best to pass deficit busting legislation right now. They'll be the minority in Congress after next year and they'll lose the Presidency in 2024.

But they DO have a grave problem...actually two of them...and they are both US Senators.

The polls which matter are called elections - Progressives do not hold a majority (even among demorats) elected to either the US House or the US Senate.

Identity politics instead of policy politics. Because cons offer nothing policy-wise.

It's the same moronic cycle. Assholes vote republicans. They do nothing and cause all the problems. Dems get int, Reps blocke verything, then blame dems. Get elected again. American morons continue this cycle. **** this country, we deserve to go down full of selfish, moronic assholes. **** ever redneck rural enclave when republicans get into power and do nothing for them but continue to blame America. And you won't benefit from an improved country and jobs. But hey, that't eh right wing way, blame everybody else for their scumbaggery,.

Go ahead, give republicans back the reigns so they can jack up the deficit and pander to nazis and **** the country up more

Yep, that minor detail seems to have escaped your notice.
You know your fake intellect on this thread is merely just throwing non sequiturs right?

Hence... Derp

The ex-president is a complete asshole. I haven't written his name since 1-6-21.

You're a right-libertarian; your political thoughts are a bad joke.

What we saw last night was teh continued GROWTH of populism.

Nothing more nothing less.

With TRump not on the ticket the country did not have to vote against a lunatic and we saw the true sentiment of the people, populism without the lunacy.

The biggest loser last night was not McAuliffe, it was Trump.
