Sandy hook marked the end of the gun control debate. If a bunch of kids getting shot wasn't enough to enact change then nothing will be.

Oh IDK, there is a lot of footage of this one. Lots of people will be able to see themselves in this type of helpless situation and demand accountability. It brings it home vs just hearing about it.

I got a hog with my 44 cap n ball, granted, the range was less than 100ft and I got lucky to stalk up that close, the conditions were perfect, double lung shot, ran 15 ft and was down.

With a 44, I couldn't hit it at 50 feet. I prefer small caliber handguns, which I am good at hitting my target with. When I carry, it's a Beretta .25. LOL.

How does carrying a gun or owning a gun prevent you from becoming defenseless in a case like what just happened? You're in a crowd and shots are being fired all around you - you're armed - what now? Who needs to break the law? Got an Ar-15? Just use this link to make it full auto. Like I said the AR-15 is a full auto weapon "tweaked" to fire semi-auto. You just need to tweak it back.

For me, it's not the aiming that makes me miss with large calibres. I've never been able to adjust properly for the kick to hit my target. If you have ever been to a gun range and heard a crapload of cussing, then you have probably met me. LOL.

So here you are at a concert which allows you to bring a sniper rifle in without being arrested, and 400 yards away is a shooter who is firing into the crowd, and there are people all around you. You are elbows to elbows with them. Do you ask them to move out of the way so you can spend a little time setting up your tripod and take some shots at where you think the shots are coming from? Do you understand what suppressive laughter is? LOL.

There were two hogs, I fired twice and missed, they did not move until I dropped the hammer twice, I knew the gun was shooting high, so I aimed at the ground underneath center mass, not like I was aiming for the lungs.

They both ran up a ridge by the river bank, I did not know I hit it until it keeled over and let out 2 death squeals and was stone dead.

My guns shoot a .451 133gr round lead ball with a fairly light powder load of black powder (an empty 38 case full) It weighs 4 pounds unloaded, the recoil is very mild. I'm sure a 44 cartridge with a much heavier bullet, is another matter.

As a public message, I would like to share the NRA's website so you can make a donation. These will be difficult times for them in light of this tragedy, and I think we can all agree they're the real victims here.

When people at that concert heard the gun firing I can sort of see why they temporarily and irrationally felt a twinge of fear. When I watched that video and heard the bullets flying, I heard freedom.
