Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla is forcefully removed from Noem’s news conference and handcuffed

There is video.

Show us the lunge.

I retract the lunge statement... I meant approached and was aggressive... but worded it poorly.

I doubt he could lunge and not throw out his back...

Her security detail.

Now, back to noem's and her security detail's over-the-top reaction: You're claiming that each and every time a reporter, a Senator, anyone, interrupts a speaker at a presser by asking a question, the appropriate and acceptable reaction is that security tackle the questioner, manhandle him or her or them to the ground, and then apply handcuffs.

Thanks for confirming this. Now I have a more complete picture of who and what you are.

When you’re physically fighting security to approach a speaker, that’s an indication a physical altercation might put such a speaker at risk. He was rightly removed as a security threat.

Are you saying she has no control over her security detail?

Because she was busy with her conference and didn’t exactly know what was going on, what caused him to be removed or if he was a threat. She doesn’t evaluate every person in the room and what they are doing. That’s security’s job and they did it well based on his actions and threat assessment.

You know what? The press knows there is a proper way to get questions asked in a press conference. The way that idiot Senator did it is not the way.

FAFO
So speech is not always free in Trump's America? Some are more equal than others I suppose.

He was ESCORTED to her press conference by FBI or someone from HHS! They even opened the door for him to go in, he didn't even have to open the door for himself. As a U.S. Senator, it is his JOB to do oversight, do you understand that? He was doing what he's supposed to do, and legally entitled to do. He was doing his job of conducting oversight, and oversight includes asking hard questions. That's his job.
I gues he gets to barge into her home to ask her questions then, right? It's his JOB to do oversight, after all.

If he wants to do oversight, he can issue a congresional subpoena. He doesn't get to barge in whenever and wherever he likes to throw his weight around.

God, am I alone when I say that we really need Democratic politicians running on treating Republican politicians like this?

He could easily be seen

He wasn’t

He wasn't what? Physically fighting security or right or rightly removed as a security threat?

He was obviously physically fighting security. They had to fight him to move him out... otherwise he would have just walked out.

He could easily be seen

Who cares... maybe she just wanted to speak uninterrupted.

That said, how much public speaking have you done... lights in your face. Microphones and chords and poles around. Not always so clear.

How about a little personal responsibility!!! 😂 😂

LOL... Good one.

Wait, are you serious?

You have yet to prove that Padilla lunged toward noem.

AND, again, quoting something said by a member of the trump administration is not sufficient.

So, why are you still posting to this thread? We all know you approve of the heavy-handedness of the security unit's handling (literally as well as figuratively) of Padilla's asking noem and inconvenient question. What more do you want?

Based on what I saw, Padilla looked aggressive, potentially a threat.

He's lucky not to be injured.

Asking questions at a press conference?

Are you a fascist or something? Honest question at this point.
You have never asked an honest question on this forum.

Bye.

It was her press conference, not his. She’s in charge of her own press conference.

So, she can just order the police to manhandle anyone for simply asking a question?

Holding a press conference suddenly makes someone king of whatever building they hold it in?

You’re being a little hysterical.

This entire era wouldn't have happened if Fox News never existed.

So an immigrant did ruin our country.

How was it an inappropriate disruption? Its a presser and he identified himself and asked a question. She should have answered

Revisionism, ClaraD ^
Noem spoke for 15 minutes and took no questions during that time. At about the four and a half mark, (I posted the entire you tube video Post #269), a very disruptive Padilla overtalked Noem, rudely interrupting her briefing for the press. He did not identify himself until he was almost out the door by security. And by every video I saw, he fought his removal, disobeying security's authority.

Of course, the lying Democratic Party's narrative is 100% different than the above, making Padilla out to be a victim. No wonder they lose elections.
