I agree. More then anyone else including Gingrich, Rush is responsible for the current political climate. He showed that one could make a fortune turning Republicans into whatever they are today. His copycats filled up the rest of the radio schedule, FOX filled in the TV gaps and before we knew it, they had turned once respectable citizens into conspiracy nuts, militant racists and ignorant buffoons. It will never stop either as an unintended consequence of repealing the Fairness Doctrine. There's a big difference between what the Obama administration and what the Trump administration did. The Trump administration intentionally separated thousands of children from their parents. The Obama administration did not. That's the truth.

There were likely a few instances during the Obama administration where an immigrant caught crossing the border had a violent record or was suspected of committing a serious crime unrelated to any sort of immigration violation which necessitated him/her being detained, separated from his/her children, and charged criminally. But that is a big difference between that and criminally charging every single adult caught crossing the border, and thereby separating every single family unit caught crossing the border.

In January 2016, President Obama signed an emergency declaration for Michigan. This allowed for federal resources to aid in the response to the lead contamination in Flint's water supply.

Just as a matter of information, you need to understand what the distinction is between the emergency declaration of President Obama and that of the national emergency declared by Trump, which cites the National Emergencies Act and aims to divert billions in federal funds to finance his vanity wall.

The emergency declaration signed by President Obama was a disaster relief law which allowed for federal aid of up to $5 million (not including additional assistance from federal agencies that didn’t require the declaration). The federal government’s response included measures such as distributing water and providing water filters and water sampling. The emergency declaration ended in August 2016. Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, declared that "by July 2016, the city of Flint’s water system has tested below action levels of the federal Lead and Copper Rule.” In early 2018, the state declared the water quality “restored” after repeated tests showed that 90 percent of samples from “higher risk” locations were below half the federal threshold of 15 parts per billion (ppb) for the Lead and Copper Rule.

President Obama also signed the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act in December 2016. The act provided $170 million for communities grappling with drinking water emergencies and Flint was specifically mentioned as an intended recipient.

Work is still ongoing in Flint to replace lead and galvanized steel pipes, and the distribution of donated bottled water has continued. To say that “Obama declared Flint water crisis a National Emergency and never fixed it” is misleading at the very least.

I think it's safe to bestow the term for any action of a sitting president to be "the most disgusting thing a President has ever done" to be awarded to Trump in spades, multiple times, and he's not quite finished yet.

He betrayed the people of flint who thought he was coming in to save the day. Instead, he took the side of the Governor and performed a stunt by pretending to drink the poisoned water. Actually, it was probably bottled water. Read the comments to this video.

It is well known Joe Biden started painting himself as a liberal candidate to attract Bernie Sanders supporters during the general election campaign after Sanders dropped out. Look at his policies from February to April. Do you see differences in his stated opinions about the retirement age, homosexual marriages, and abortion?
