Here is the latest up to date hospitalizations from Johns Hopkins as of july 11. They have clearly flatlined and delta isnt causing any emergency anywhere. Plenty of hospital beds available. 72% of hospital beds are occupied nationwide of all causes including corona. Hospitals would actually like to have more beds occupied to make money. +90% is optimal. 538, 787 beds are occupied with non corona patients. 18,961 with. With plenty of beds available. One other scare we can ignore is a report that the lambda variant can "jump" the vaccine. That study was done with the highly ineffective chinese vaccine. I dont think anyone wants people to die, and if they are counting on delta to do it, they will be disappointed.

Explode with positive tests and they are testing people who shouldnt even be tested. Most of those positive tests have no symptoms, almost all the rest have cold symptoms.

I agree with you on this one. I'm not a Democrat, I'm a progressive. Many groups have legitimate reasons for not trusting governments. The "flyover" comments suck, too.

You're fairly new. Be careful deciding who is cool based upon popularity. That is highly partisan on this forum. My other advise is never draw any conclusion about any poster based on the basement (and remember the Vegas rules). Many posters the better ones refuse to participate in the basement - and others can not post in the basement.

There is nothing cool about his message and this is not an uncommon set of personal opinions and hatred that appear to totally consume im over and over again. He is a VERY angry old man in his messages and self description on the forum.

Like who you like for sure and who I like in a personal sense isn't partisan. But remember, this is an anonymous forum and the longer you are here the more you will see the distinction between partisan popular members, members who are blindly pure partisan, and those members who think independently. I often break from party line and often have a 3rd opinion - meaning time and time time may disagree with anyone. That is the path to unpopularity on the forum since for most it is about blind partisanship.

You would think every Democrat would condemn calling for people to die, but doing so would be disloyal to the team - and particularly on the progressive Democrat side it is all about the team. You can find thousands and thousands of messages by Trump supporters - including me - criticizing Trump severely.

Try to find a progressive criticizing Biden or Obama in any real way - or any other Democratic poster. You can't. Progressivism is about collectivism, for which loyalty to the leadership - in both the public and private sector - must be absolute and unquestioning. To be a progressive Democrat is to agree to be nothing but a little cog in the Democratic machinery run by others. A person exists solely to serve the collective. Call it fascism, socialism, communism or totalitarianism.

Kind of keep an eye out for that distinction between Republicans and Democrats on the forum.
