Your assertion noted. If NRA folks weren't being dishonest they would have no argument. See how easy it is to push false narratives?![]()
Your assumption noted. Not mentioned specifically, but they absolutely are most of the equation. Your snippet solely uses "individuals in possesion of a gun" for the metric. Law-abiding concealed carriers don't suddenly start visiting high-crime areas or go looking for trouble, so they are way less likely to fall into those statistics.
Needs more context. Under specific circumstances ummm yes.So, is this your approach? Begging for your life?

How many people walk about in Condition White with their face buried in a cell phone?Needs more context. Under specific circumstances ummm yes.
Is that perhaps your own gun being pointed at you?
I'd say a keen awareness of your surroundings is more important to your safety than a shoot out with a criminal. What say you?
My question for you - How much combat experience do you have? Seems you're buying into a bunch of wannabe carrying propaganda put out by the gun lobbying crowd. Never heard any of those terms used n the military, let alone in 'Nam.How many people walk about in Condition White with their face buried in a cell phone?
Minimum should be Condition Yellow. Orange or Red if in certain parts of town.

Cooper Color Code - The 4 Stages of Combat Mindset Readiness
The Cooper Color Code is timeless. It's a set of 4 progressing stages of combat mindset readiness. White, Yellow, Orange, and Red.modernsurvivalblog.com
My question for you is why you would deprive yourself of choices by voluntarily limiting your ability to defend yourself or your family?
They can defend themselves all they want. But if they are prohibited persons they can't do it with a firearm. Not legally, at least. But of course they carry illegally anyway, which puts the law abiding at risk. That's why we carry.Gangsters aren't allowed to defend themselves?
How many people walk around in Condition Orange, actively seeking a Red Condition? How many people walk about in Condition White with their face buried in a cell phone?
I don't. At the point of Condition Orange, I'm smart enough to allow my feet to bring the condition back to Yellow/White.Minimum should be Condition Yellow. Orange or Red if in certain parts of town.

You always abide by the speed limit laws, never go through a yellow turning to red, passing on the right 'cause someone's making a left hand turn and you can't be bothered to wait? Law abiding my little Buddhist ass. You carry cause you're scared my friend, and you've bought into the propaganda the gun lobby puts out. Own it and you'll be better off as a human being. They can defend themselves all they want. But if they are prohibited persons they can't do it with a firearm. Not legally, at least. Absolutely. The first rule of carrying is deescalation. Unfortunately, sometimes violent criminals aren’t willing to let you deescalate. How many people walk around in Condition Orange, actively seeking a Red Condition?
I don't. At the point of Condition Orange, I'm smart enough to allow my feet to bring the condition back to Yellow/White.
My questions to you: Are you one of those combative individuals that actively toe the line between Orange and Red?
Wouldn't you and your family be safer by removing yourselves from an "Orange" situation, relying on your gun as a last ditch effort?
Those terms aren’t military. They are just a way to denote awareness of your surroundings. My question for you - How much combat experience do you have? Right, so, in other words, just made up bs terminology. Those terms aren’t military. They are just a way to denote awareness of your surroundings.
"In country" doesn't answer my question. There were lots of support personnel who were never in combat, no matter how many years they served or were deployed. In fact, iIrc the ratio was something like 10 to one, support personnel to grunts. And to your first question. Much more than one year in country. When you do a 20 year career during the GWOT, you tend to deploy more than once.
Military terminology is "made up" too. It wasn't handed down from the immortal Buddha.Right, so, in other words, just made up bs terminology.![]()

The problem with your rhetoric is the nation has become quite permissive in carry laws and firearm ownership, but firearm violence doesn't seem to have abated much. Based on the number of firearms in private hands the woman should literally have a pistol in each hand and an AR in the closet.![]()
Elderly Woman Fatally Shoots Home Invader
The elderly homeowner, whose identity has been withheld pending further review, was reportedly injured during the altercation but managed to protect herself effectively.www.ammoland.com
Our resident anti-civil right gun control proponents would have this woman call 911 and hope that she doesn’t get killed or grievously injured in the time it takes police to arrive.
Gun control is pro-criminal.
They are busy putting up yard signs for the hair sniffer in chief, creepy Joe.Where are you collaborationists? You who would choose to kneel before criminals and give up your rights in favor of the lowest scum on the planet.
