It's a shame that these debates can't be more of a conversation rather than talking points, jabs, and avoiding actually answering questions. It's nearly impossible to find a non-biased moderator or have questions that aren't shaped toward a particular narrative. On top of that, you have each candidate interrupting each other (especially Trump) or just completely avoiding actually answering the question at hand. I legitimately wish the Joe Rogan thing could happen where it is the three of them in a room for a few hours to "debate" or however you want to phrase it. Or possibly have a broad topic such as "The Economy" and let them speak and respond to each other about whatever they want within that topic for a period of time then move on to another.
Think Alex Trebek should moderate, and all of the questions should probe the candidates' knowledge and ability to reason, rather than just giving them a platform to state all the talking points that I could just as easily read on their websites.
