Debate Organizers Say They Will Make Format Changes Before Next Debate

It's a shame that these debates can't be more of a conversation rather than talking points, jabs, and avoiding actually answering questions. It's nearly impossible to find a non-biased moderator or have questions that aren't shaped toward a particular narrative. On top of that, you have each candidate interrupting each other (especially Trump) or just completely avoiding actually answering the question at hand. I legitimately wish the Joe Rogan thing could happen where it is the three of them in a room for a few hours to "debate" or however you want to phrase it. Or possibly have a broad topic such as "The Economy" and let them speak and respond to each other about whatever they want within that topic for a period of time then move on to another.

Think Alex Trebek should moderate, and all of the questions should probe the candidates' knowledge and ability to reason, rather than just giving them a platform to state all the talking points that I could just as easily read on their websites.

If Biden was debating anyone else, it wouldn't have turned into a circus sideshow. The rudeness was from Trump, he was the one, as usual, who was loud and overbearing.

Have you really looked at Trump? If Trump and Biden really went after each other, Trump would stroke out. Come to think of it, maybe you're on to something.

To be honest, Trump seemed rattled at the debate, Biden did too. I find it revealing seeing them off their game.
Honestly, isn't throwing these guys off their game one of the expectations we have or the moderator? We all want to know who the candidate is behind the mask.

They were both bad. Just because Biden was bad and Trump was twice as bad does not make Biden good. Neither are good enough to be president.

Whether either are, reality is, barring something that takes out one or both from eligibility within the next 4 months, one of them will be our next President. I'd rather have the one who is not quite as big of a douche, acts like an adult 90% of the time vice less than 50%, is willing to admit to mistakes and seek help from others because he doesn't boast at being the smartest, the best, very knowledgeable about all sorts of things he doesnt actually know squat about which are fairly important matters, and matches my lean on many issues.

Do you support the prolife crowds right to believe that abortion is murder and therefore it should be criminalized. Before you go into womens automy and such. My point is that you can't say you are for everyone when its impossible. There's always gonna be winners and losers. You have to let go of the righteous mentality and accept that we don't all share the same definitions and visions of whats best. We have to be tolerant of conflicting lifestyles.

I completely agree. I think Trump missed many opportunities and interrupted too much as well. The more Biden talks the better for Trump imo. I don't think Biden really did anything to shoot himself in the foot too bad (laying low has been his strategy and should be his strategy) but didn't really do anything to help himself either. I pretty much agree with your statements. The problem is when two Parties disagree and are unwilling to compromise. One only has to look at Congress to understand the gridlock due to not agreeing on what is best.

Those people can believe whatever they want to, but I don't have much respect for those who say that when a woman terminates a pregnancy it's murder, when many of the same people are in favor of the death penalty, blacks killed in churches, Jews killed in synagogues, Hispanics killed in Walmarts, cops killing black Americans on our streets. That is real murder, so I don't care what these characters say, they can believe whatever they like. Believe what you will, do what is best for you, nobody is forcing anyone to get an abortion. Just keep religion out of politics and keep the government out of people's bedrooms and private lives.

Of course we don't all agree on what's best, if we did, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in. I have no righteous mentality either, little judgemental there, aren't you? What I mean when I said I care about all my fellow Americans, I meant that I want them all to have rights and freedoms in this country regardless of skin color, gender, sexuality, etc.

I meant that I want them all to access to affordable healthcare or assistance if needed, there are poor sickly people republican and democrat who lack the healthcare needed for themselves and their families. I meant I want them all to be treated equally on the streets and in the workplace.

I meant that all Americans should be able to live their lives without fear, and have the means to make a living wage, raise and feed their family and own their own home if desired. I meant that all Americans should have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, etc.
