Death

Once again you claim to know something that is impossible for anyone to know. You have beliefs and ideas you made up. And many others do the same. This is not learning the truth.
Not impossible, just not likely. Knowing "who" and "what' god is, interferes with the grand design and great revealing of our relationship at the end. The supreme being is not a single person all alone, it's a whole creation of things, and people where a man and woman evolved into the physical image of the source.
Isn't life in the here and now enough for you, why do you insist on more.

Is it fear and need that drive some to concoct silly afterlifes, it certainly isn't science.

Really, how do you happen to know, is it a hunch, tell me, how do you happen to know it was designed that way.
I know now, and when it's your time, you will know. The proof isn't somewhere beyond your own mind. ;)
Besides, I don't try and give people something they don't want.

The Great OZ of Malagras Impetigo revealed this to me.

Right, a god who created all things and made humans in his image.

What about intelligent beings who live in another galaxy and are not human.

What happens to them.

We are not the center of anything in the the universe, just the opposite, just a speck on a speck on a speck.

Where is your humility, you claim things no one can possibly know.

What I know is true and will only take time to reveal.

No, still impossible. And now you add more of your own ideas which are impossible for anyone to know. You are just adding more impossible to know claims on top of each other.

You'd have to possess skills beyond human ability to know all that's possible.

Here's what god says about death; Isaiah 28:18 - "Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with the grave shall be canceled."
You must be a prophet, a sage chock full of wisdom, I'm simply blown away by you post.
Thanks! :)

I've been trying so hard to impress an anonymous, arrogant-posting stranger on the internet... hehehe. :sneaky:

You keep making statements phrased as if you know something. I am just stating the fact that it is impossible for anyone to know what you seem to claim that you know. Who is being arrogant? Not me. I claim no special knowledge, only that no one can possibly know such things. The arrogance is all yours with your claim of special knowledge.

The idea that after some dies, a spirit or soul remains I find laughable.

Where is this spirit located in the body, what is it made of.

If the spirit is united with god after death, where is that located, on top of a cloud in heaven.

Where is the proof any of this actually occurs besides biblical passages and verses.

Personality, emotions and character all have a biological explanation not a nonphysical one.
If you haven't achieved Gnosis you will just be reborn in this physichal prison.

I didn't call you arrogant, I insinuated that the replies of the other poster were arrogant. Just playing games with somebody not really interested in a conversation.

I know what you're saying, and I didn't believe in any of this religious stuff either until I experienced it. No narcotics, hallucinations, or other mind-altering conditions were occurring at the time. I don't really expect anyone to take my word for such unprovable claims, especially about a system whose source is designed to be hidden. Where there's life though, there's hope, and the world could use a little well wishing right now. I don't believe it changes the end results that much but it's better to cling to something other than nothing or despair.

I take your word that you had an experience. But unfortunately, many others make claims of experiences and come to many different conclusions. So all I can do is be skeptical of all such experiences and the conclusions arrived at. I personally got to the point where I don't need to believe in anything to cling to except what I have physically in this life. For me, that means my relationships with my wife and family. That is what gives my life meaning. If I lose any of them, it will be difficult, but will not drive me to believe in something for comfort. I am sure I will feel sadness and despair, but all I can do is to hold on to whatever still remains doe me in this life. I know this isn't enough for many people, but I can't pretend to believe in things just to make myself feel better.

Well, carry on my friend, sounds like you've got all you desire. :)

Well, for once a thread ends with people shaking hands, its a good thing that seldom happens.
Being disagreeable is easy, finding common ground leads to more interesting dialogue.
