I guess it isn't new, but it is recently added to Netflix, and I like it.

The Equalizer. Four seasons available, it is in season 5.

Well, that trailer has me interested. Guess I know what I am going to sit in my comfy chair and try and stay awake for tonight!

Well, enjoyed the first two episodes more than I expected.

Day of the Jackal Season 1 (2025) Eddie Redmayne stares in the latest adaptation of the classic Forsyth novel. Since its set in the modern world then both the story and the tradecraft has obviously been updated. The other major difference between this and the source novel is that the Jackal actually has a fairly normal life outside of his profession, or at least he tries to. Even though it does have some woke elements, these things are minor and dont detract from a pretty good story that kept me interested. I thought a few plotholes did make things a little repetitive in the end but overall it was a fairly decent show with mostly excellent writing. Rating 8/10

Evidently, we have a lower tier of PEACOCK, they started ads after a short time.

We are trying to”The Agency.” Many plot lines and shot in some dark settings make it a little trying to figure out who the character is. Also requires a high degree of paying attention. I’ve had to go the synopsis after each episode.

It's on Peacock? I thought it was just on Paramount+

You’re correct, I wasn’t clear. What I meant was that “Jackal” had the ads, The Agency is on Paramount. I was replying to @PoS.

I hesitate to watch this because of how much I loved the original novel and the great 1973 movie. Maybe I should give it a chance.

Bruce Willis was The Jackal in 1997. How many times will they remake this?

That Bruce Willis remake was horrible.
If you didn’t compare it to Edward Fox’s portrayal, is had some decent parts.

I believe I read that Edward Fox actually taped his ankle to his thigh for the ending scene. Makes my knee ache just thinking about it!

Just starting season 3. While it can be hit or miss, for the most part I am really enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yep. There are some poor episodes, but it is a real good show for the most part. I am almost finished with season 3, at episode 15.

Any fans of 'The Amazing Race'?
I started watching a BritBox show Race Across the world
Sadly, they only offer season 3 and 4.
What I love about season 3 is the amazing footage of Canada. Are Canadians really that nice? Wow.

Any Squid game fans here?
What's going on with season 2?

Just posted in another thread:

I finished Landman on Amazon Prime. Overall I liked it. It's more subtle than the others by Sheridan (except for the ex-wife and daughter) and has less action which is probably why some of ya'll dont like it as much.

I've started the new ER/medical drama on Max with Noah Wylie, The Pitt. It drops on Thursdays and only 1st 2 episodes out so far. Very gritty, but every new medical drama seems to get more and more so. Pretty good so far. It immediately started like a cliche but improved within about 15 minutes.

They split the season in 2. The development of story isnt as good as the first season and the premise is kind of silly and contradictory throughout. A little disappointed in season 2 part1...but hopefully part 2 will be better.

Probably something I would love. I like Noah Wylie, and apparently this show was developed by some that worked on ER. I hope it comes to Hulu eventually.

Edited to add: And it is on Hulu!

Yes I recognized a name in the credits, re: development. The lighting in this is super bright, probably intentional.

Thanks, there is hope.
Have you checked out
Beast games?

No...Ive seen some of the Mr Beast videos though.
We watched a few episodes (prime video). It seems to be influenced by squid games, survivor and such. I could be wrong but some scenes had a familiar ring to them.

For those folks who like to watch live police/cop shows, on Friday and Saturday nights there's a live show on the "REELZ' channel called 'On Patrol Live'. The 3 hosts monitor live action from up to 8 or 9 jurisdictions all across the USA. Show starts at 9PM EST and is 3 hours long.

Before that show starts, same channel/hosts, there's a one hour version of the same type called 'On Patrol Live: First Shift'.
