Current TV Series You'd Like To Recommend

Is that the one with Robert DiNero? I only stuck with it for 15 mins. I started in with the third season of The White Lotus, only watched first episode but found it disturbing and not very intriguing. Hoping it gets lots better.
Yes, Robert DiNero, and one of the reasons I almost didn't watch it. But...it is a good one once you catch on to the plot.

I have to look up The White Lotus.

I'll keep it on my list then, thanks.

For The White Lotus, start with the first season for sure. Excellent! Funny, quirky, contrary.

Running Point, Netflix series.

Started watching it by accident when it came on after something else. Surprised I like it since I have no interest at all in basketball. But it's a comedy and really funny, also is a "show with a heart." Mindy Kaling is a writer or producer.

This comedy series is just right for easy fun and laughs. Much further in now and it just gets better.

Player's Deep South mama making him "trash can chicken" for dinner..."and dont you worry, all that talk about salmonella is Deep State lies!" :D

Tulsa King Season 2 (2024) I thought season 1 was just okay, and I hoped it would get better. Boy was I wrong. Its gotten boring and pretty tame for a Mafia show. I couldnt keep watching it. Rating: DNF

The Agency (2024) Season 1- A CIA station in London is into all sort of things. Its actually a remake of the acclaimed French TV series The Bureau, and its an inferior one at that. The original was far more realistic and cerebral, while this one focuses more on action and style. Because of this, it suffers from poor characterizations and jumps the shark multiple times due to plot holes. The writing is inconsistent, since characters either go from being highly competent in one scene or turning into idiots in the next depending on where the story needs to go. The main character played by Fassbender is especially silly. Despite the star studded cast, their characters are all paper thin.

While its better than most thats out there, I was disappointed in it. Rating: 6/10

New on Netflix, I really liked it.

Zero Day

On a side note, I loved it when Lilly Tomlin joined The West Wing.

I finally finished Lost. What a freakin' mess.

The Last of Us Season 2 Premieres April 13

It is very emotional.

Sat down to watch episode 1 tonight. I was gobsmacked.

At the moment, it's having the same effect on the British public that the TV series "Mr Bates vs the Post Office" had last year. Even the Prime Minister and other prominent figures have been watching and talking about both series.

Adolescence will be shown for free in British schools to counteract the impact of the Tate brother's misogyny on young British boys.

That is interesting. It would be great if it were shown in schools here as well. If not, parents out there should watch it with their kids.

Take your time watching it. It is a lot to absorb. I will check out the other series. Thanks

We did a Matlock marathon yesterday. This is the old one. We are working our way through the whole original series, and man, it holds up. We have the entire boxed set. I notice that many of the featured cars in the series are Fords, including a very sweet 1966 Ford Mustang convertible driven by Conrad McMasters (Clarence Gilyard Jr., RIP.) It was a fun Saturday night.

I found another series that is rather interesting.

It is peppered with unnecessary scenes though.

Finished White Lotus, on Max. Season 3 just ended.

IMO season 3 was much better than season 2. Took me about 2 episodes to really get into it but the suspense in the last 3 episodes was really well-crafted, even if a bit obvious and the finale really delivered.

8.5/10

North of North was a fun little series on Netflix. I would not call it great or anything, but I really did enjoy it overall.

Étoile on Amazon Prime. Ballet show that's pretty funny. They find two drunk dancers passed out on the steps and a guy looks at one's back and says, "This one's got a tattoo of Billie Eilish. Or maybe that's Travis Kelce."
