Covid-19 Deaths Compared To Auto Accident Fatalities

This is amazing.

You're both trying to minimize the health effects of COVID - a disease that more and more people are dying of by the day - and at the same time, histrionicly scream like a street preacher about economic doom-and-gloom.

Do you guys think that's really going to work out well?

No one is minimizing anything. Life goes on. People have bills to pay and mouths to feed and businesses to run. Ohio is not New York. We dont have a problem here. What you dont seem to grasp is that this virus is not going away just because you hide under your bed for a month or two. It will be here until we have a vaccine and probably long beyond that. And that might take years. So at some point we are going to have to begin returning to work while the threat of the virus still exists. Or maybe you think 22 million unemployed in 4 weeks is sustainable for the next couple years. The ones not using their heads is you guys on the left. As usual.

Ive worked every day since March 1. No mask, no gloves. I interact with dozens of people each day. Ive been to the grocery store dozens of times, ive been to walmart, ive been to Home depot. Those stores are open. The guy with the bicycle shop is closed down by our governor because he is deemed non essential. Its pretty essential for him to feed his family and there is no reason why the dozen or so people who visit his shop each day during normal times couldnt continue to do so. Multiply that by tens of thousands and you will begin to understand why people are protesting.

That's moronic.

has it even been two months since the first US death?

Counting March is padding the numbers. It's counting a month for what now requires a day. We have all these days of 2 and even 3 thousand deaths, and we're to count 4000 deaths and add a month to the frame? That's not honest.

Yes, Trump telling his cult to gather together and 'liberate' their states was idiotic.. Funny how he's NOT showing up at those rallies.. I wonder why?

Naturally, liberal authoritarianism doesnt bother you one bit.

Lies and propaganda.

You should be ashamed.

You don't believe we had 4000 total deaths March 31, or you don't believe we have over 40000 total deaths now?

We could say 37000 deaths in 19 days.

I see the posts stopped when the truth came out.
#chinaflu hoax

New York has as many deaths as the entire nation of France and more than half of all US deaths. Maybe you should be asking how they F'ed up so badly in that state when virtually everywhere else in the US has this virus under control.

Want to know why? Because Cuomo didn't budget for the uninsured and would have been screwed royally if Trump didn't include 100 BILLION dollars for uninsured people which New York has tons of. They are cooking the books in New York to call things like a stubbed toe due to COVID-19

Coming from someone like you who is here daily defending the guy who said he had TOTAL AUTHORITY, then you falsely point at other authoritarianism, is priceless..

According to Johns-Hopkins website, the death toll for the current pandemic have topped 40K. I hope that puts the
compared to highway carnage argument to bed. Last year there were just over 39K auto fatalities.

Fatality Estimates

The first recorded Covid-19 death was recorded on 29FEB20, according to CDC.

CDC, Washington State Report First COVID-19 Death | CDC Online Newsroom | CDC

If US auto fatalities reached 40K in less than seven weeks, what do you suppose the response would be?

I would want to examine the books to see how they were fixing them. You?

You're right. 1 of my daughters best friend 30 year old brother died 3 days ago of stubbing his toe..

The level of callousness and hypocrisy from you phoney pro-life people is criminal.

I never defended that comment and Trump never exerted that authority. Governors, on the other hand have. I have been critical of overreach by governors from the very beginning of this; namely, Mike Dewine, the republican governor of Ohio. Numerous decrees have crossed the line into authoritarianism in my opinion

Wait - the bicycle shop is closed???

In most places, they're considered essential businesses.

You know - like liquor stores & pawn shops.
