Uh, now there's a perfect example of irrational thought. This site was overrun with lefties for the entire term of the previous Democrat President. You couldn't get on here without one of two things almost constantly.
1. We still hate Trump and we are going to talk ugly about him, his legal issues, his comments, his hair, his family, his golf game, how rich he is or isn't, and any other thing associated with Trump.
2. Joe Biden is a dynamo whether is be from the basement or behind closed doors. Every mistake Biden made was somehow caused by Trump. Joe was an excellent President even when he couldn't recall who, or where he was. Nobody on the left seemed to be noticing his decline until about two months ago. That was after the democrat authored books came out.

So to even insinuate that this site has been anything but overpopulated with those on the left is certainly inaccurate and rings of something Biden might come up with.

Why do forums bear any responsibility over who chooses to use the place and who chooses to leave?
Anybody who is conservative has every opportunity to sell THEIR ideas to the same people.

As long as DP or any forum does not pursue active efforts to ban people of a particular lean solely due to their views alone, it boils down to the failure of conservative members to successfully SELL their views to the audience. If there aren't enough connies here it is only because connies could not enjoy privilege and nothing else.
Your mileage may vary on some other board precisely BECAUSE the operators overtly or covertly ban hammer you solely because of your political lean.
That tarnishes the board's rep and there will be a bumper crop of former members who can point to obvious instances of political prejudice on the part of management.
The gold standard is to handle member CONDUCT and not punish anyone for their point of view.

Anyone and everyone is perfectly free to lure new connie members over here any time for any reason and they must succeed or fail on their own merits alone.
If there aren't enough connies, it is only because connies can't compete successfully.
That's nobody's fault and if people whine about it, tough noogies.

Yeah, I agree. RL Chomsky had a way of relating to those in the streets, and wasn't afraid to go into the streets and get his arse beat & hauled-off to the Grey Bar Hotel!

Chomsky, later in life, can display a boring monotone in his verbal delivery. But it's in his writing, where he comes alive. His words literally jump off of the page! No one opens my mind, like Chomsky!

But he's really sick, you know. Physically incapacitated due to a stroke, living in Brazil with his 2nd wife - who is his caregiver. He appears to be in pretty bad shape, from what I saw. Which is why we really don't hear from him any more.

When he goes, we may lose the last WW-II era extant Liberal Jewish Intellectual in the public consciousness. Bernie kinda' carries-on in that vein, but he's no Chomsky.

Hitler’s “Beer Hall Putsch), hatred of dissent, even from loyal allies (“Hang Mike Pence”), repeated disregard for election result (cf. 2016 et al.), contempt for law enforcement (pardons for those who beat cops), denial of the obvious (Carlson’s depicting the destruction as just tourists visiting the Capitol) and a touch of sadism (Trump waiting for hours before telling his thugs to call it off.)

The term facism sure gets tossed around a lot on DP. I wondering how many just like he way it sounds versus how many actually know what it means, or how many actually believe that bluster?
