One commercial in particular clinches my jaws every time I see it. It's the one asking for money so kids in foreign countries can become the people god intended them to be.

So for all you religious folks out there, god needs your help, send money. Apparently he needs help with his creations. Money help.

People who use god to suck money out of others. As an atheist, I hope there is a hell.

Unsure I have seen that commercial, but it is not surprising.

Brings me to a point that I concluded a very long way back. The majority of all commercials and ads out there in all formats, contrary to the intention, convince me to *not* purchase that product or service.

I don’t watch enough broadcast tv to notice commercials.

Thankfully, we can pay for premium streaming services where commercials are minimal.

never heard of DVR

cant remember the last commercial i had to watch

God is omnipotent & always needs money. ;)

I stream all the shows I want to watch except for the Atlanta Braves games. Hence no commercials. As for the commercials during the Braves game, I don’t pay any attention to them. I’m just irked by the commercials, no one commercial irks me more than another. I just don’t care about them and always ignore them. Good time to take a pee during a commercial.

We dumped cable years ago so our only television is over-the-air - well, and Prime. The former for Hogan's Heroes and local news, and the latter for commercial free movies.

Perhaps the singularly most repugnant commercial on all TV is the Lume Deodorant ad:

That woman is absolutely disgusting - "under arms, boobs, butt crack..." Just... ewww. She needs to use her product on her commercial and spare us the odor of watching it.

Apparently its effective.

Commercials I liked...

Burger King commercials murder my ears.

The ones that irritate me are for products that amount to a solution in search of a problem, which covers about half the products out there.

They don't want a solution, they want to sell potential products. Most say "May" see results.

See Sarah Silverman on ***** deodorant. Try soap & water.

I used to actually depend rather desperately on anti-PERSPIRANTS back when I lived in Texas because otherwise I'd go through three shirts a day easily.
But it was the sweating...as long as I didn't pour sweat out every pore in my body I managed to smell okay, but that's a tall order if you're sopping wet and working, so I stunk.
Not as much a problem now that I am back in Los Angeles.

TMI!

Hey YOU crawl up in those hot attics in the summertime in Dallas, or hunker down in a TV production van when it's 110 in the shade/65% humidity and your A/C only works with the engine running and you're low on fuel. 😆😆😆

I moved to streaming, but there are still commercials on the live tv we have.

I find all the commercials for medicine - doctor prescribed, not OTC - very annoying. They all sound great up until "may cause this and this and this"

And the boner pill commercials - they always zoom in on the woman's wedding band. Like the pills are only for a married couple. IT's like we're still in the 50s.
