Just look at this website. Sick beyond belief: NRA Competitive Shooting Programs|Collegiate Shooting Programs

The NRA has gotten its fingers into our educational system. The fact that any college in this day and age could field a RIFLE team is mind numbing.

Guns on campus led to Virginia Tech. Guns on campus lead to the UC shootings. And guns on campus lead to the recent FSU debacle.

But colleges are far too deep into NRA money to consider even banning guns on campus. Instead, they let the NRA give future mass shooters the opportunity to train, and get F*cking rewarded for how well they shoot (AKA, how well they are able to kill their fellow students.) And they act surprised when some psycho uses a gun to murder a ton of people on school grounds.

So you say that these rifle team members are simply enjoying a hobby? Well teach them to enjoy something that doesn't kill 30,000 Americans a year, such as football, baseball, frisbee, mock trial, auto racing, rock climbing, etc.

No guns on campus equals no school shootings. Too bad the NRA wants guns on campus to be glorified, nay, recognized as a sport.

Re: Colleges setting the stage for future school shootings

students should be well trained in sharpshooting skills because one day gun banning idiots might want to eliminate with violence, their sport and the varsity shooters can then take out the idiots who seek to ruin a competitive activity that has been on college campuses for more than 100 years.

only morons think that no guns on campus means no shootings. You see, active Killers tend to ignore laws preventing such activities like the shooter at virginia tech

and only fools believe a law that says no guns on campus will be obeyed by someone intending mass murder

Ultimately, people should be well armed because I see the gun hating nuts will cause a civil war and if that happens, the sooner gun owners can target the gun banners, the sooner the war will be over and the sooner the USA will be rid of the disease of collectivist authoritarian gun hate

Re: Colleges setting the stage for future school shootings

I was captain of the Yale varsity shooting team. National skeet champions in 1976 BTW, many times Eastern Champions beating well known programs such as the US MIlitary Academy at West Point, The United States Coast Guard Academy, etc. There has never been a case of a member of any of the Yale shooting team committing murder with a gun on campus. Same with all the varsity rifle teams (An NCAA sport) that are spread throughout the country.

So you won awards for being able to potentially kill more of your classmates with a gun, while people who studied and didn't have violent fantasies weren't?

your posts are generally a bottomless pit of stupidity on this subject but you appear to have even outdone your past silliness. Is as stupid as saying the javelin athletes on the track team practiced spearing their class mates or the polo players were expert in clubbing other students.

it is you who has violent hallucinations apparently

Well, you make it sound smaller than it is. Not just classmates, people in general.

Re: Colleges setting the stage for future school shootings

Yayyy for NRA shooting sport programs. Shooting is an excellent way for kids to learn skills, values, and self-disclipine. If every child were taught how to shoot, how to care for a gun, and sportsmanship, the country would be better off, and there would most likely be less crime. It's an advantage not to make guns mysterious, and treat them as the very serious tools that they are.

Re: Colleges setting the stage for future school shootings

only morons think that no guns on campus means no shootings.

You seem to have carelessly misspoken here.

If it were truly possible to ensure that there were no guns in a certain place, then no shootings would occur in that place.

It's not moronic to think that. It is, however, moronic, as you surely intended to say, and as you clarify below, to think that laws that impair the right of law abiding citizens to bear arms will be any kind of useful deterrent against criminals.

true, if the Wizard Merlin could wave his wand and make all firearms disappear from a given campus, and all firearms in range of that university, you are right. no shootings would take place

anyone who claims that a LAW could do this is too stupid to breathe.

I tend to agree with your suspicion, but I have learned never to underestimate the depths of genuine human stupidity. A poor troll is more likely than someone who is really this stupid, but neither is terribly implausible.

Guns on campus led to Virginia Tech. Guns on campus lead to the UC shootings. And guns on campus lead to the recent FSU debacle.

Guns were prohibited on those campuses. The fail is strong with you.

Question for you, though: How many college campus shootings have there been in Utah, where campus carry is allowed?

But colleges are far too deep into NRA money to consider even banning guns on campus. Instead, they let the NRA give future mass shooters the opportunity to train, and get F*cking rewarded for how well they shoot (AKA, how well they are able to kill their fellow students.) And they act surprised when some psycho uses a gun to murder a ton of people on school grounds.

You are way out of depth in this argument. And your numbers are wrong. And your facts are wrong. Pretty much everything you said after, "Just look at this website" was wrong.

Willful blindness.

Every school shooting to date has been on campuses (campii?) that were "gun free zones".

Think once in a while before posting, please.

This never happens, because criminals and looneys do not obey the law:

Re: Colleges setting the stage for future school shootings

You do know that rifle teams don't shoot at people right? The level of your hysteria is mind numbing.

How much do you want to bet she thinks the fencing team is out stabbing other college students in the heart too?

And omg, the wrestling team. Bunch of damn brutes, they are.

Let's not forget about those crazy cheerleaders tossing each other into the air just for ****s and giggles. That's right before they volunteer themselves as human targets for the rifle team.

Re: Colleges setting the stage for future school shootings

I, and other student who had firearms kept them in our dorm room closets in college. Nobody shot anybody else.

I guess firearms have gotten more evil since then.

you realize all three of theses statements are wrong right?
This might be one of the worst failed gun posts i have seen

her posts on gun issues are a tsunami of silliness.

she basically finds a way in every posts to completely post the exact opposite of truth

VT was a gun free zone. It had nothing to do with a rifle team

I wonder if she can find ANY CASE where a student member of a college shooting team has ever used a target rifle, shotgun, or target pistol to commit murder on campus
