In Oregon we are required to present a birth certificate at the time we get or renew a drivers license. I asked if they would go to my personal web page to look at my birth certificate and DMV told me I would have to bring the physical certificate in so they could be sure it was real.

I guess the standard for a license is higher than the standard for the keys to our nuclear arsenal.... who would have known.

The State of Hawaii has already confirmed that he was born in the state and I believe they issued a certified copy of his birth certificate to dispell these absurd birthers doubts... obviously without effect... let up on it and focus on legitimate policy disagreements... he is the president AND he meets the Constitutional requirements for the office...

Yes, the truthers are dumbasses. I'm admittedly ignorant on the Bush awol subject, I really now next to nothing about it so I won't even comment on it.

I'd also like to point out that I never called the birthers dumbasses.They are, but I never said it That was the guy that the link pointed to.

Should we just ignore what Blagojevich said on his phone conversations because they had been tapping his phones for a long time? Both sides always have people following politicians around with tape recorders. It's nothing new.

This is pretty much how I feel too,... But when I see so many people line up and demand there's nothing to see here,... "look over there!"

I don't know,.... I've always watched the magician's other hand,... the one he doesn't want you to watch.

The more people want me to move on about Obummer's birthplace,... the more it makes me think there could be something more to it.

I'm the same way about Sarah Palin,.... the more the left hates on her the more I am intrigued by and appreciative of her,...

59% of people that classify themselves as "Tea Party Supporters" either believe Obama was born in a foreign country or do not know. I would say that makes a super-majority of tea partiers birthers or, at the very least, birther sympathizers. Clearly the Tea Party has, to date, become safe haven for those with this wackadoo view of life.

Ken Buck is closely associated with the tea party movement. He is "their guy" in Colorado, as opposed the the Republican party favorite Jane Norton. His comments disparaging fellow tea partiers is, perhaps the most intelligent thing he has said to date. At least we have hope for intelligent life within the tea party.

Let me ask you...have YOU ever muttered something about a FRIEND...hell...maybe even a FAMILY member that was unflattering? Of COURSE you have. You just didnt have some little weasel following you around to report it. And THATS what he came up with? THATS what gets media attention? THATS the zing? But that's the thing. I'd like to know if the guy introduced himself as a tea partier and then asked about Obama's birth certificate, which would make this guys statement much more benign, or if this guy asked this question like a dumbass and this Ken guy just thought to himself "this guys a dumbass, must be with the tea party."

I'd also just like to point out that you didn't actually answer the question I posed to you about Blagojevich. If you're going to include an "oh snap" it would be much more appropriate with an answer that actually answers the question. Do you feel for this guy cause you're a politician too? Cause that last post sure seemed like you were trained to answer like one

Night and day difference wouldnt you say? Blago is a POS Illinois politician that was in dealings with the administration and was being investigated for criminal activity...criminal activity on both sides one might point out. Which means in Blago's case he actually cuased there to be government scrutiny.

Now...do I FEEL for Blago? Nah...I dont. Do I CARE about him? Nope. I think this whole thing is a tempest in a teapot. It assumes that Blago is the only corrupt politician in America and that this kind of under the table bull**** doesnt occur on a regular basis.

However it IS pretty interesting that YOU would compare the two. My example was i think much more appropriate. Blago was taped in the commission of an alleged felony, while the other guy was being taped in an every day manner. So...what about YOU...do you really want us to believe you have never snapped and made a negative comment about a loved one? Thank GOODNESS no one was there with a camera or a recorder or you would be kicked out of the family...because thats such a HORRIBLE thing...

I've snapped about a love one, sure. But I'm pretty sure if someone followed me around with a tape recorder for months and finally caught me saying "damn, my fiance is a dumbass" she would at the very least give me hell trying to make up for it or reconsider the marriage.

My whole point is this. Don't fall back on BS about how we can't say anything about the guy because those mean old democrats followed him around with a tape recorder. If you don't think what he said was so bad, hey, I understand that. I don't think what he said was bad either, but i do know that the tea party would have blown it's lid if it were a democrat to say the same thing. I just think we should base our judgement on what was said and the context that was in, not on how what he said was recorded.

I wasn't trying to compare Blago and this guy other than they both didn't know they were being recorded. Blago is obviously a douche that should be thrown in jail.

I didn't post this for any of those reasons. That's why i didn't write any of the crap that you just wrote. I posted it cause I thought it was a funny story and wanted peoples opinions of it. Idk why that would upset you so much...

I think the Tea party might be mad at him for trying to smear the Tea Party by trying to associate the Tea party with conspiracy loons with this statement. But I do not see the tea party getting mad at the fact that birthers are bunch of ****ing tin foil hat wearing conspiracy loons.
