CNN Republican debate thread. [W:33]

Carson is reasonably sensible, but I honestly don't see what's propping his numbers up.

Maybe he appeals to the intellectual set?

He comes across as decent and honest. Even if you disagree with him (and I do), that is appealing as a person.

I wish Katy Perry was here.....are we half way through yet?

the comments from those on this thread who are clearly democrat party supporters are interesting I admit. not very relevant in some cases but interesting. Katy Perry is probably more qualified than Trump though

Paul, boring and a dick.

Christie looks like an emotional buffoon in his support of invading Iraq. I know 9/11 has scary as hell, but the president needs to be aware of his own power. Starting a war based on your emotional reaction to 9/11 and ignoring geopolitics is irresponsible and dangerous.

I'd definitely rather have to watch her on television.

Happy Rand is emulating his father there. :peace

I still can't figure out why Carson is so high up in the polls (besides the fact he is not already a politician).

Last election you had several who peaked as "not Romney". Carson is the first "not Trump".

Oh God... Kasich is making a holy war comment.

It's because the religious right loves him and they are still the single biggest component of the GOP base.

Carly Knows her Military Numbers!!!

Tapper: Thank you Fiorina...we will not tolerate numbers, however poorly or intelligently argued.

Excuse me Mrs. Fiorina, we need to move on. You're giving VERY specific information and thats just not useful for our purpose of getting people to start throwing chairs at each other.

Get ready... it's time for domestic issues!!!

He has a lot of carryover love from the Prayer Breakfast speech.

....and Jeb demonstrates that he's better at putting down Cruz than Trump.

She was making a cogent and solid point... one of the few tonight and he went out of his way to cut her off.

It's hard to take this comment seriously about someone being "emotional" when the question at hand was about invading AFGHANISTAN, not Iraq.
