CNN Correspondent Goes Ballistic Over Fox News Libya/Human Shield Report (VIDEO)

Just because the CNN correspondent didn't know he was being used as a human shield, doesn't mean he wasn't. It's funny that folks here would rather bash FOX than believe that Gadaffi is capable of such a thing.

But at the same time it is hard to prove he was being used as a human shield too. Just because we all can see it happen doesn't mean it did.

Regardless, FOX has a good reason to suggest the use of human shields. Gadaffi has used them before. Yet folks would rather demonize FOX, and in effect, defend Gadaffi. Seems strange to me, that's all.

FOX military sources and the Daily Mail UK RAF sources called them human shields. What does it take? For Quadaffy-Duck himself to say, 'Yes, we used them as human shields... so what?'???

Um, did you not read where the UK has said they called off an attack because they could see CNN and Reuters reporters on the scene? This man hasn't stayed in power for over 40 years because he's a dumbass. He knows just how to play into the hands of people like you.

So be smarter than him or go over there and defend him, but you're making me sick here.

In other words, Fox News was used as a human shield and are trying to paint CNN as dishonest and Gadaffi supporters, when their own man was also there, and was being used as (according to you and Fox News) a human shield.... I see.. so Fox News is a Gadaffi supporter now?

You do know that, normally human shields are either forced into being it or willing and knowingly to be it right?

Can you prove that the journalists were not only willing but knowingly being used as human shields? Were they forced? Did they know that they were going to a place that was on a top secret NATO hit list?

Fox News as usual tried to take a dig at its competitors in the never ending right wing war on "who is more patriotic" bs crap it always does, and got hit in the face by it and is now (with your help) trying to turn focus on CNN and others in an issue where it is very clear they are in the wrong.

1. Jennifer Griffen, the Fox correspondent openly apologized for not knowing the amateur photog fellow was sent in by FoxNews. Documented as FACT by video posting.
2. This same Jennifer Griffen held to her story of the correspondents being used as human shields. Documented as FACT by link (to news story) posting
3. The net result is that indeed...YES, those correspondents were being used as human shields. That has now been established as FACT. Debate over.

Do you dispute any of these three contentions of FACT with additional FACT? I'm being intentioanlly repetitious to drive a point home to you.

Who on earth is defending "him"? We are only pointing out the total and utter hypocrisy of Fox News yet again. It is YOU and people like you, who is turning this into an attack on anyone and everyone but Fox News and it is a classic example of right wingers under pressure that lash out to divert attention away form the issue.

No, it is not a hard thing to prove either way. They are journalists and they have a job to do. This includes going out of their hotel and interviewing people. I know it is a huge concept change for Fox News journalists there, but in the real journalistic world, real journalists actually go into war zones. Are they all suddenly human shields? Is a reporter embedded with US forces in Afghanistan also a human shield? How about a reporter in L.A. reporting on gang violence and he or she interviews a gangbanger? Is he or she suddenly a human shield as well?

Really? I think CNN was the first one to fire a salvo in this situation, by claiming FOX LIED about reporters being used as human shields. So, the focus is exactly where it belongs... on CNN and their efforts to paint FOX as liars, when no lie occured, according to multiple military sources from FOX and the Daily MAIL UK. So, CLREALY you and CNN are 'in the wrong'.

I await your further futile attempts to spin this... or your scampering away, now that you've been PWNED.

Not the same things at all, unless by having a journalist with the troops or with the gang would actually be effective in keeping the opposition from attacking them. I think the problem is that you don't understand what "human shield" means, as this post clearly demonstrates.

God.. Listen.. I fully saw where the UK says it called off an attack.. I saw and heard it before most people on these boards, because it came out while most Americans were a sleep. It is IRRELEVANT.

This story is about Fox News claiming that CNN and Reuters were used deliberately by not only Gadaffi but the news organisations themselves as human shields. What we have learned is that Fox News and many here on the boards seem to not understand what a human shield is, but totally gloss over the fact that Fox News had a representative there as well!

You dont accuse someone else of a "bad thing", when, first off you were present there, as well committing the supposed "bad thing" but when the whole principle of it was a "bad thing" or not is in serious doubt. It is like a criminal exposing another criminal for a crime they both committed and then claiming that what he did was not a crime.. come on.

This was and is a hair brained idiotic attack by Fox News on other news organisations period.
 
Ok...let's get back to the real story:

1) Did reporters go to the compound? Yes
2) Did an airstrike get called off? Yes
3) Did Fox report they went? No
4) Did someone from Fox go? Appears so

There we go. Nothing more needs to be said.
