(CNBC) Education Department says Columbia University fails to meet accreditation standards

What "rights, privileges and protections" were denied to any "protected groups?"
The university tolerated the harassment of Jewish students. Jewish students are a protected class based on religion, just as blacks and Asians are protected classes based on race.

No, it's not "based on Title VI."

There's no court in this country that would agree with Ms. McMahon's "interpretation."
Whether a court agrees with her, that's the basis of her position and action.

Well, no. She's lying.

She's counting on suckers like you willing to forgo critical thinking, and just accept her bullshit - which is a pretty safe bet, as we can all see.

Let's hear from the students themselves:

I'm sure we agree no student should face violence. We'd probably also agree students should not face undue detrimental harassment.

But these students also cannot censor the thoughts and speech of others that are different than them, nor others expressing it to them in public spaces.

I posted this letter below, from the University of Chicago, when it was penned several years ago. It was include in the acceptance packages mailed to prospective incoming undergrad students.

It essentially says there are no "trigger warnings", the exchange of ideas will not be abridged or regulated, there are no "safe places" on the college campus, and there is nowhere to hide on campus from ideas and expressions one may find distasteful or uncomfortable.

It then directed the prospects to sign and agree, or not attend the university.

I believe U of C got it right, and I applaud what they're doing.

Here is the most salient part of the text:

Is being protected from "harassment" a right, in the Constitution?

If so, I know a lot of MAGAs who are headed to jail.
Are you thick, or do you just not pay attention to what goes on in the country? Assuming the answer to my own question, an example would be denying a student access to the University library to which that student is entitled, because of the student's religion.

If we don't stick together, they'll pick us, and our cherished institutions, off . . . one-by-one.
And, as we witness daily, the MAGAs will dutifully carry the water for them in that quest.

With absurd arguments and double speak where they try to sound like they have even the slightest clue what they’re talking about while parroting and clapping like trained seals.

What are they going to fight? The University messed up. Their own task force came to the conclusion that the university had a problem, and they failed to respond to concerns. The president of the university resigned over it. The office of Civil Rights at DHHS concluded they violated the student's civil rights back in May - bringing up many of the same points that the internal task force noted.

The university has to show that it's taking steps to fix the problem - something they've already started to do. Why would they not just work to 'remedy the areas of non-compliance'?

Not really. They're the cool adults you're not hanging with now.
Lol. You know, the only interesting thing about high school reunions is seeing who’s a bum. One in particular stood out to me. Some chick who had been one of the “cool” kids since elementary school. There is no bigger bitch than Lady Karma herself because she’s now a homeless single mother living in the woods of West Virginia and gave one of the meathead former jocks, who now works as a cashier at Kroger, a blowjob for a ride. Who says there’s no justice in the world.

Which one?

Because the Constitution has nothing to do with what a private university like Columbia allows on its campus.

The 1st A protects against the government doing what it is doing now to Columbia's students. That's the whole point.

There's a difference between the "cool kids" and the popular kids. That you don't seem to know the difference explains a lot.

But the Constitution has everything to do with what the Government is allowed to demand Columbia does, on its campus.

That's the part you're not getting.

Bingo.

How are they missing that?
