China's president Xi: "The world can move on without the United States"

This is truth.

It is also hypocritical coming from Xi's keyboard, but that doesn't make it not true.

Our leaders will determine if we maintain our place on the world stage of lose it. Since we pick our leaders in this nation that means it is on US whether we hold our place on the world stage or lose it.

This nation is/was all about potential. That includes the potential to go FUBAR and have to live with the consequences of screwing your own pooch.

Xi is getting cocky.
Is he? I think the world sees how Putin and Netanyu treat Trump as their own useful idiot, why should anyone else give him any respect? Xi is just jumping on the bandwagon.

Trump is the ultimate paper tiger.

Trump is the ultimate paper tiger.

Anything Trump says or does today can (and probably will) be changed tomorrow. The man does whatever's in his pants.

Trump is not a useful idiot. Trump is a useless idiot.

We do? Really? Thats funny.

If it were up to me I would have picked Mark Kelly, and we'd have a real President right now instead of......that thing we currently have.

Corporations choose our leaders, multinational corporations and the uberwealthy.

And they certainly give the NAY or the YAY on legislation, since the Legislature is 100% beholden to its bribery class.

The illusion of "freedom" and of any real "choice".....well. Just an illusion.🤷‍♂️

shrug...

Sure, the world can move on without the US, but the US isn't going away.

And China cannot move on without the US. They are too dependent upon US consumers.

I respect your POV but have to call this one out.

There is a difference between greatly influence and the personal responsibility of the individual choice.

IF WE CHOSE:

To be ill informed it is our choice.

To let others be the source of that misinformation it is our choice.

To, when we are alone in the voter's booth, make uninformed decisions about who our leaders should be and act against our own best interests in that regard it is our choice.

IF we want it back and do what it is required of us to use the voter's booth the way it was intended to be utilized that too will be our choice.

That's China's leaders talking to it's own people explaining how to deal with idle factories and no jobs.

The US will resume its leadership when the mess is cleaned up...simply because no one wants a world led by China.

Agree, well said and true. 🇺🇸

I mean Xi is trolling pretty hard here, but there is truth in this. The US doesn't really look like a Great Power anymore. More like a drunk fumbling moron that has been left behind.
It'll continue until Americans decide they'd prefer to be governed by functioning adults.

Lol, now they are blatantly putting CCP progaganda online in a vain attempt at damaging our President......boy, they sure are getting them primed up. They're going to burst with all this crapola put in their psyche.

That worst Part of all of this.

The decline is self imposed.
Indeed. The parts that resonate from Xi's post are "legitimacy dying the moment it's assumed rather than earned" and the US losing the respect of the world. This is the concern I've expressed during the tariff fiasco because the hubris in that broad action was based on the US being a vital player no one can do without, which is a great way to lose both legitimacy and respect. While markets can rebound for their own reasons, the viability of the US as a stable player has taken a hit and we're not sure when and if that comes back. What the Trump presidency signals is that kind of president is a possibility in the future as well.
