???ironically the pole shows how just How Great America is
???ironically the pole shows how just How Great America is
They both know everything that sane people in the U.S. know, that Donald Trump only cares about himself, being as rich as possible at all costs, and he can be bought. He isn't a president, he's a criminal in a suit, and we have the conviction to prove it. Let's see just how idiotic the voters in this country can get come 2028 with something like a JD Vance as nominee after this Trump shit show is over.Is he? I think the world sees how Putin and Netanyu treat Trump as their own useful idiot, why should anyone else give him any respect? Xi is just jumping on the bandwagon.
Trump is the ultimate paper tiger.
I mean, it doesn't "bother" us in the US, no? We openly trade with China and use goods produced there despite their actions. Is our credibility zero too? The context here is important, because opinion on what China is as a trading partner might be different than people's views on them as a government. And again if that bothers you more than genocide then your credibility is below zero
This is exactly the hubris Xi warns about.I'm guessing the highly paid Elite experts in those countries no more than you. and you can bet your ass they won't decouple from the United States except for the ass backwards countries
That would only raise prices and limit products for American consumers.
You can't have our senator. We do? Really? Thats funny.
If it were up to me I would have picked Mark Kelly, and we'd have a real President right now instead of......that thing we currently have.
Corporations choose our leaders, multinational corporations and the uberwealthy.
And they certainly give the NAY or the YAY on legislation, since the Legislature is 100% beholden to its bribery class.
The illusion of "freedom" and of any real "choice".....well. Just an illusion.![]()
Establishing production would still take time and material and labor costs would still make prices higher.what's happened in the last 4 years with prices ?
if all China products stopped coming into the USA today, the vacuum/void would be filled because opportunities for money making would be there and companies would respond IMO
we don't need China
Time marches on, empires rise and fall, but China always endures.
In terms of overall perception the unfortunate reality is that:The pole was about overall perception not economics so my point stands
Not sure. Maybe he was talking about a stripper pole or something?
Establishing production would still take time and material and labor costs would still make prices higher.
According to whom? You dont get to determine what is best for others. Higher prices and limited product variety is not best for me.still best thing to do
To have an overall more positive view of China is totally ridiculous and removes ones credibility. In terms of overall perception the unfortunate reality is that:
1. China is seen as the more reliable partner that holds up its end of a deal and remains consistent over time, whereas the United States is liable to do a 180 turn when a new old dude enters the White House.
2. China is the clear ascendant power of the 21st century and likely to dominate the back half of this century. Nations will always seek to ally with whomever represents the future.
3. China has been crystal clear about its territorial expectations and ambitions and aside from claims dating deep into its back history, has not shown signs of territorial expansion. Meanwhile Donald wants to annex his neighbors and former allies.
4. Other nations have seen China do something no civilization in history has accomplished, which is the uplifting of massive (~500 million) number of people into the middle class in just 1-2 generations.
5. Other nations also live in the same reality that us non-MAGA do, and recognize that exports only drive some 12% of China's economy and exports to the United States drive roughly 3%. Xi is right, China quite literally doesn't need us. Its own domestic market for Chinese industrial dwarfs the US export opportunity.
So yeah, it's not unreasonable for a majority of the world to believe, today, that hedging bets with China is a good idea.
Fact not hubrisThis is exactly the hubris Xi warns about.
Wait, why would a MAGA who thinks the Haitians are eating the Cats expect others to consider him credible? To have an overall more positive view of China is totally ridiculous and removes ones credibility.
That is just plain fact.
I didn't. Nice topic change thoughWait, why would a MAGA who thinks the Haitians are eating the Cats expect others to consider him credible?
Billions do?The US will resume its leadership when the mess is cleaned up...simply because no one wants a world led by China.
Incorrect, it's hubris. Grandstanding and threatening allies is a great way to end one's respect as a nation.Fact not hubris
Yea that's worse than genocide sureIncorrect, it's hubris. Grandstanding and threatening allies is a great way to end one's respect as a nation.
No one said it was, but since you have done nothing but deflect instead of addressing the comment Xi Jinping made, I can see why you choose to flail. Knowing China's actions against the Uighurs hasn't stopped anyone from buying Chinese goods, has it?Yea that's worse than genocide sure
Sorry but those having a more positive view of China than the US are saying that.No one said it was, but since you have done nothing but deflect instead of addressing the comment Xi Jinping made, I can see why you choose to flail. Knowing China's actions against the Uighurs hasn't stopped anyone from buying Chinese goods, has it?
It was just a matter of time, I guess. It was a good run for the US.That worst Part of all of this.
The decline is self imposed.
