Why would anybody voluntarily deal with the American bureaucracy?

Maybe some do but I am sure they have their reasons.

The other poster said it should be a requirement. I don't think he understands that the US is not the sun and the other countries do not revolve around it.

It is just relatively well organized for a country of its size and diversity.

You were warned...You know what crimps your freedoms? Laws like the Patriot Act after terror attack committed by people we let in.

Oh. That is quite clear. The EU ie the Europeans are making a horrendous mess of this. But that might be, because they are more focused on seizing the opportunity of the crisis to deepen the European Union than on the dangers to the population. It is the same thing as with the Euro or Ukraine. A mess.

Actually there was some meaning behind it... Crack open a history book and peruse WWII especially as it pertains to the Nazis. You might find some similarities in their belief systems according to oh I dunno, a race war in which they believed it was either them or the Jews and that they were the enemy that had to be resisted (destroyed).
