Cenk Uygur On Leaving MSNBC: Network Told Me To 'Tone It Down,'

The entire nation went after him. There was no left/right slant. It played to the center.

They may have played to the center, but they deliberately took a definite position,

Cenk Uyger was an incredibly arrogant hack.

Sure they did, but taking a definite position doesn't mean they were ideologically right or left. Like the media today, they wanted ratings. Unlike today with its polarized politics, that meant playing it down the middle

Yes, they need to replace him with the ever-so-genteel Pat Buchanan, or hey, I hear Palin could use a job (but she'd probably quit halfway through her contract)

Joe scarbourough get SIX HOURS with Pat Buchanan, followed by Mrs Alan Greenspan. Fox has ZERO shows hosted by a liberal.

Van Sustren. Anyway, more people see Juan Williams guest hosting an hour of the biggest show on cable news then see Scarborough (whoever that is) and Buchanan hosting a 6 hour show probably for a whole week.

scarboro controls those three hours of morning programming
as soon as the discussion moves to place republican actions in a negative light, joe moves the discussion elsewhere
[and NEVER into a discussion about his murdered congressional staff member ... the one he was alleged to have a relationship with]

don't think faux news has anything similar from a progressive with their own three hour news show

Van Susteren is a rightwing Scientologist. Liberals hate scientology.

And while Juan Williams is a liberal, he's also a moron with no following on the left and his show wasn't the biggest on cable. Scarbourough is a republican who was elected with the help of Newt's Contract on America and more people watch it on one day, then Juan Williams got in his life.

gotta agree. lightweight juan williams is a faux token - twice over

Just curious, what is Joseph Scarborough's stance on social issues?

Yeah... Sure.

Juan Williams, In For Bill O’Reilly, Takes Top Spot On Fox News Friday | Mediaite

Filling in for Bill O’Reilly on The O’Reilly Factor, Juan Williams had the top show on cable news Friday.

right wing. Did you think the republican newt follower is a flaming lib?

Someones' really reaching here

That didn't answer my question. I simply want to know what his stance is on social issues. I'm not sure what you mean by "really reaching".

He's rightwing on social issues. What don't you understand? You asked for his stance and I told you it rightwing.

...Because not all republicans are like-minded on social issues like abortion and SSM...

So what? They are still rightwingers

I expect you to be perceptive enough to discern the difference. There's a variety of rightwingers and, of course, they have a variety of beliefs when it comes to social issues. Simply, I wanted to know where Scarborough stood on popular social issues.

Yes, there are a variety of rightwingers, and the media has representatives of each. Leftwingers have the same amount of diversity, but you wouldn't know it from watching TV

The liberal media strikes again!

Juan Williams, Greta Van Sustren, Ed Schultz, Maddow and Katie Couric. All examples of the diversity of liberals on Television.

Greta van Sustren's a liberal?

I tend to use liberal and democrat interchangeably - probably incorrectly, but it is my habit. She is a democrat, was close to the Clintons and has donated to democrats. Probably a liberal, but I can not guarantee that.

A significant portion of Dems don't self-identify as liberals. She's one of them.

I'm not sure that self identification matters. Someone can be a liberal and deny it all they want. However, I admittedly do not know enough about Greta to know if she is a liberal.

Here, to prevent the confusion, allow me to correct my previous statement that caused the contrversy.

Juan Williams, Greta Van Sustren, Ed Schultz, Maddow and Katie Couric. All examples of the diversity of lefties on Television.
