Lol... no, it's definitely a matter of if you're cut out for it, but no need to get defensive, if you're not you'd not be the only one. There's a reason why we're the second largest country in the world, while only having around 1/10th your population, and why most new Canadians tend to stick to the cities in the south.
Skiing is a lot of fun, both down hill and cross country. I like cross country for the workout and the likelihood of seeing wildlife. Downhill is for adrenaline and ski bunnies, two activities i find myself aging out of. I still make it a few times a year, but I avoid moguls. I don't have as much to prove anymore... hehe
Beaches are nice to vacation at, but I get bored unless they come with bar service. Too many people sitting around sweating.
I'd rather a lake and a dock with a boat attached any day.
