California could be first state to help undocumented immigrants purchase homes

Aiding first time buyers is a stupid idea? Why?
Why should the tax payer who is renting an apartment in the hood have to fund an illegals purchase of a home?

Why should the tax payer who is renting an apartment in the hood have to fund an illegals purchase of a home?
Because the "illegal" is also an eligible taxpayer under the program.

This thing really does have "dumpster fire" written all over it. From the OP's link:

The bill’s author, Fresno Democrat Joaquin Arambula, countered that the bill specifies applicants must meet requirements set by the Federal National Mortgage Association, or Fannie Mae, including having a taxpayer identification number or social security number to apply for a loan, which means they’re taxpayers.

Great. So one of the biggest morons who blew up the subprime bubble is going to be involved. I feel lots better!

It is a good investment
How is giving people who arent even citizens free houses and healthcare a good investment?

Is there anything in the bill that protects the state if the illegal gets deported?

It boosts the whole economy
How does pouring taxpayer money into non citizen housing boost the economy? Its basic econ that more subsidies brings up real estate prices.

It isn't a theory. Healthcare is cheaper in other 1st world countries per person primarily because they cut out the middle man.

Health insurance companies literally do nothing but create an unnecessary drain on the economy. In a single payer healthcare system they don't need to exist. And it drastically reduces the cost.

I don't assert that. I support a fully public healthcare system. Not a public + private one.

The price is free. Providers aren't charging higher prices because they wouldn't be charging prices at all. The government would directly run the system not pay a company to run it.
Don't kid yourself, even in the UK their healthcare system isn't FREE, people in the UK pay about 25% of their income in taxes to support NHS.

"The government would directly run the system not pay a company to run it". When ever have you found a U.S. government agency that runs efficient? That inefficiency would wind up costing the U.S. taxpayer even more. The way the our government normally handles inefficiency is to throw more money at it, instead of fixing the issue. I could envision the U.S. taxpayer paying up to 30% of their income for a healthcare system that would be drastically flawed.

How is lying about an issue acceptable in a discussion forum?
