YA! Like take away our troops hazardous pay and reduce their familys benifits all while they are fighting in Iraq and Afganistan! Bush also proposed to cap the raises for ALL E-1s, E-2s and O-1s.
Bushs preliminary budget for 2005 INCLUDED a $910 MILLION CUT for the Department of Veterans affairs.
Bush planned to DECREASE the immenent danger pay for our troops from $225 to $150 and family seperation allowance from $250 to $100.

Leading Veteran organizations have recommended a $33.6 billion budget for Vets but Bushs administration cut that by $4 billion to $29.6 billion.
The Bush administration has failed to extend a child tax credit to nearly 200,000 military personal.
The Bush administrations 2004 budget proposed to cut Impact-Aid funding by a total of $206 million and the intire deduction will be taken from programs designed to support the education of military children.
Bushs 2005 proposed budget "doubles" perscription co-pay for vets.
Some vets will now have to pay $250 a year to use the VA health systen care.

I too am a vet and I thank GOD that I am fortunate enough to be able to afford Blue Cross and that I DO NOT have to depend on any VA hospital for anything especially with Bush at the helm!!!
