Susan G. Komen for the Cure | Partners & Sponsors | KFC ? Buckets for the Cure?

That's right, the Komen foundation is partnering up with KFC for Buckets for the Cure. Every time you down a pink bucket of original recipe, KFC will donate fifty cents to help find a cure for breast cancer. People ask me why I don't donate to cancer foundations. This is why. Corporatism meets unproductive charities.

Help cure cancer while increasing heart disease!

Oh dear god, you're not going to get heart disease from having KFC once in awhile.

I don't see a thing wrong with corporations donating money to charity.

Nor cure cancer.

Me neither, but I can just donate the money directly and skip the chicken.

Though I do loooooove fried chicken.

Hey, no breast jokes yet!

One of the first things heart patients are barred from is fast food fried chicken being at the top of that list. And now with that new sandwich they have.....

You're talking about people who already HAVE heart disease.

You can get heart disease from eating too much fried chicken. No?

And dammit, still no breast jokes.

And...?

How's that price of tea in China?

Possibly fried chicken won't give one a heart attack but it certainly can contribute like smoking can contribute to lung cancer.

Sure, it can. If you eat it in excess. Same with any foods. Anything in excess is bad, mkay. Even water. ;)

Sure, but it's alot easier to eat too much KFC than too much water.

You have to prove your immaturity on a regular basis or else you grow up. No more slacking.

If I haven't proven it at this point, it's never getting proven. Nearly 19,000 posts and maybe 17 or 18 of them weren't' some stupid immature joke.

Sorry, if your going to go around throwing out the occasional mature, rational comment, that's not my fault.
