I think it's the NY Post but cons will link to it and the entire right side is just images with teaser clickbait headlines and the pics are almost always mostly women with their breasts falling out of whatever they are wearing. Can't help but think cons just sit there on that site instead of going to pornhub so when their wife walks in they can say they are just reading the "news". Kind of like yesteryears, "I just get playboy for the articles."

I share news sites with my students and finding one with a conservative bias that isn't utter bullshit is hard to find. I tend to use the Examiner.

I'll let you carry on the argument about Breitbart's deception in their article but what I wish to know is just how their "reporter" Randy Clark could get so much information so WRONG in regards CBP Line of Duty Deaths?

The Line of Duty deaths in the CBP for the year of 2020 was 21 and for the year 2021 it was 32.

How could their "reporter" get it so wrong?

In 2019 there were 4 CBP line of duty deaths and just 1 in 2018.

No doubt, looking at those numbers, COVID-19 has greatly increased the LOD's in the CBP as well as across all Police forces in our Nation from local Sheriffs to FBI officers and even Secret Service members.

From the most reliable source I know of there were 484 LOD's recorded by them in 2021 with 325 of those deaths attributed to COVID-19.

I'm not even clear how dying from Covid counts as in the line of duty.

I think both sides need to come together, exhibit honesty and empathy, so that as individuals and as a nation we can discuss our issues in way that finds common ground and solutions. Bickering, misinformation, name calling, partisan accusation - all that shit is emotional baggage that we need to divest ourselves of. Otherwise, we're ****ed.

Broad generalizations and pigeonholing is what people do when they just want to bash and complain, not discuss and understand. I have a mix of what I consider to be conservative and progressive viewpoints on a variety of topics. I try hard to stay factual and keep an open mind to combat confirmation bias, so that new information that contradicts my world view is not automatically discarded.

I didn’t see a single person of any stripe on the left condemn the state persecution of the baker in Oregon for not personally delivering a “wedding cake” to homosexuals. We’re at the stage where if you don’t openly affirm leftist dogma you can lose your livliehood and the left will say you deserve it.

So you can complain about how “unhelpful” this is, well there has been years of abuses perpetrated near entirely by people on the left side of the aisle, from driving practicing Christians out of business, to claiming an elected president was a Putin intelligence plant, to (yes) denying the legitimacy of the 2016 election.

What’s the compromise position? If your side won’t even agree to not persecute Christian businesses and tell gays to get their cakes somewhere else what exactly is the compromise?
