Breaking: Israel launches 'preemptive strike' against Iran, declares state of emergency

Your thanks are misplaced.

Israel went Rogue and stabbed Trump in the back.

Iran is directly sponsoring terror groups in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Gaza and the West Bank. All 5 locations have directly or indirectly attacked Israel.

You don't have a clue what Bibi and Trump are saying behind closed doors.

I'm not sure what you're implying, here. I neither provided nor cited any sources.
Just sources when the latest on ongoing wars flare up.
Bloomberg showing what you’d expect with a brand-new Israeli offensive.
Fossil and gold up, stocks down.

I'm no fanof Christianity, historically or in our current society, but it is what our culture is based on. You can thank it for your current cushy lifestyle. It has been through multiple reformations. It allows for things like free speech and intellectual curiosity and religious freedom. Islam, doesn't. Look at what is happening in Islamic countries. How's their education going? How's their minorities fairing? How are their women treated?

How’s their view of the LGBTQIA community?

Which country is closer to a secular state? Which one has more rights for the minority religion?
Israel is a free county: free expression and freedom of religion and the freedom to be secular I congratulate the Israeli government and wish the IDF good luck in a war against the evil Iranian theocracy.

We already got it, whether wanted or not, so deal.

I don't have a problem with a nuclear Israel, but wish the could just declare it already.

Religious zealots with WMDs.

What could possibly go wrong? I mean....they're "chosen" after all right? Surely "god" would approve?

Is it too early to say the "world is on fire!". So we've got the conflict in Gaza, the ongoing war in Ukraine and now Israel's going rogue and attacking Iran.
Plus Ice Barbie wanting to take over CA with a regime change.

They’re a perfect example, prior to nuclearizing they fought three actual all-out wars. Since then, only relatively minor border skirmishes involving a few dozen soldiers.

Same for India and China; before nukes there were actual wars (well one war), afterward border scuffles that rarely break into double digits in terms of casualties.
It wasn’t too too long after India announced they had the nuclear capabilities that Pakistan followed suit. For a while the world held its breath waiting for a nuclear war between the two countries. Luckily it tampered their urge to fight each other.

It's not automatic that Iran massively retaliates, IMO. Iran isn't in the same situation they were a few years ago or even a year ago. They know that they are dealing with two regimes that would have zero problem with regime change, and they know that Russia and China are in no position to help materially.

I completely disagree that there is freedom of religion and the freedom to be secular. I am a defender of Israel, although a hater of Benjamin Netanyahu. Many members of my husband's family live there. When they want to get married, however, they will often not get married in Israel. One of my niece's daughters has three children with a man with whom she has a contract drawn up by a lawyer. Her younger sister just went to Cyprus to get married. Only one of the three sisters got married by a rabbi in Israel. One cannot have an interfaith marriage in Israel, although both Muslims and Jews can marry if they do it within the strict confines of their religions.

The country has been in the hands of the religious right since its inception. The laws are skewed to support the religious right.

So much for the world being more peaceful with Trump at the helm. Clearly America's biggest rivals see him as irrelevant and apparently so does Israell

Only if you don't consider October 7 an attack on Israel I guess.
Locking people in a cage is a form of slavery, which is worse than an attack
That's why people being subjugated by apartheid South Africa attacked it

This is true for all countries. Like it or not, the goverment represents the people. Did they not overthrow the Shah of Iran?
Aww, America being mad that the tyrant it backed was overthrown is not actually an excuse dude.

But you have to give the International Peace Process a chance. Make love not war, etc. Israel should have sought a UNGA resolution first.
