Breaking: Israel launches 'preemptive strike' against Iran, declares state of emergency

Israel just conducted a 'preemptive' strike against Iran. I have no news source as yet to provide a link. That should be coming shortly.

Sadly neither party in this conflict is a secular state, and neither has a track record of acting rationally.
Which country is closer to a secular state? Which one has more rights for the minority religion?

Tests leave signatures. The material itself has a traceable lineage. It's how it was concluded that apartheid SA helped Israel, iirc
Maybe they have nukes that they haven't tested yet??

Maybe Iran figures firing a few nukes at Israel is the test 😃

That is a dangerous world. If I wager who'd use them, it be Bibi before nearly everyone else on the planet.

And Israel no longer qualifies as a secular state, given the settler-Likud government.
🤷🏻

Time will tell.

Don’t get me wrong I probably also feel better with Israel having weapons than Iran, but I’d rather that neither did.

Call me old-fashioned, but Iran's government getting a kick in the slats is by definition a good thing.

And I'm not too wild about Israel right now, so there's no concern for repercussions.

Lastly, the Iranians will probably include Saudi Arabia in the party, and **** them, too.
Israel has been chomping at the bit for years to start this. With Trump in office, Bibi has the perfect ally in someone approving the attacks without having any pushback.

I would rather the US and Russia didn't either, but here we are.

ETA: Pakistan is actually my biggest nuclear concern.

Maybe Trump & Bibi want to turn Tehran into a golf resort.

No wars on Trump’s dime…..

I kind of feel like Israel's doing this because Trump was getting Obama nuke deal 2.0-curious. Now? No chance of that. Or at least it seems that way.

Iran has a history of lashing out at others not directly involved in a hot war. Will be interested to see if they attack Saudi oil fields. If so, your next trip to the gas station could be interesting.
