Actually, the prevailing theory among scientists and researchers is that covid related deaths have been undercounted. Overall deaths over the last year greatly exceed expected deaths by all causes and average overall deaths in previous years. Reported covid deaths do not account for the entire spike.

Perhaps you linked the wrong article, but it doesn't even talk about what you mentioned. The quote you have says that SHE believes the death toll could have been "decreased", which is not the same as "the majority could have been prevented".

If you untangle all of this.... given that the title of the thread is false.... it's really nothing new.

Yep, not much in the way of news since her assertions are completely consistent with the Columbia and Stanford studies on the issue as well as the conclusions of the New England Journal of Medicine, Scientific American and Lancet. The informed world pretty much concurs that Trump's incompetence led to a lot of people dying.

Note that she says that most deaths after the first 100,000 could have been mitigated, and we hadn't reached 100,000 deaths until almost June. By that point it was well known that covid was being spread by people who were asymptomatic, and masks were being recommended for the general public dating back to March.
