All I can say is THANK GOD!

From the article:

Mr Clinton, 61, reveals that his wife has said she would ask him to "go out and immediately restore America's standing, go out and tell people America was open for business and cooperation again" after eight years marked by unilateralist policies that have "enrage[d] the world".

After the insane foreign policy of our current "leader" who squandered the good will of the world after 911 and has destroyed our reputation around the world...this would be a refreshing change in the right direction.

Good link-it is high time America gets back it moral foothold in the world. Colin Powell recently stated "We have lost ou moral high ground". The Clintons would make a great team - we could only be so lucky.

The words Clinton and moral can never be used together, they are polar opposites.

Whoever the next President is, be it Hilary or someone else they have a major job in front of them. Other than Iraq, they have two difficult jobs:

(1) Restoring the respect that the United States once had -
GWB has destroyed our standing in the World. Where we were once respected we are now laughed at and hated.

(2) Repairing the cultural divide that Bush has created within this nation.

I have confidence that Hilary would be able to do the first, but I have my doubts about (2).

I think that Obama and Romney could do (2), but am not sure if they could do (1).

With that said, I don't have much faith that any of the other candidates would be able to accomplish either.

Not to mention come up with some sort of innitiative to try and do something about this pass the buck down bullshit our kids are going to have to live with.

yeah he would change our image
from a country to be feared to a country to be laughed at and have some drinks with
bring on the whores Willie, we love you and how you turn out the whores

Restoring the respect that the United States once had

With who? Please elaborate on this bullsh!t statement.

GWB has destroyed our standing in the World.

With who? We're still the #1 country in the world that countries want to trade with.

Oh yea, and if disaster strikes, who does the world look to for help?

Again, please elaborate on this bullsh!t statement of yours.

Where we were once respected we are now laughed at and hated.

Who's laughing? And who loved us before, that now hates us?

Repairing the cultural divide that Bush has created within this nation.

Bush hasn't created ANY cultural divide. The left wing idiots have completely branched off from the democratic party, and have hijacked the frontrunners
for the party's nomination for president.

It's ALL on the left, don't try and blame Bush. Oh, and have fun over the next 14 months watching your party implode.

Despite being bashed by wingnuts for over 16 years, Bill Clinton remains one of the world's most resepected and liked figures. If anyone can restore respect for America among the people of the world, Bill Clinton can. I don't know if that's enough to justify a vote for Hillary Clinton, though. She's far too much a centrist to be good for America. America needs a leftist to restore the Founders' vision.

Think about it. We had a lot more friends and payed a lot less for gas when Willie was getting whores then when Bush started telling people God told him to invade Iraq. Seriously...cuckoo-cuckoo.

Yeah...see thats the difference between Bill Clinton and GWB. When Clinton was President HE was getting f*%ked...whith GWB as President WE ALL are getting f*#ked.

I'll never vote for anyone who is more conserned with reputation than killing bad guys. How the rest of the world sees us isn't even on the list of conserns, let allone is it a priority.

Edit;
Yeah, big changes are on the way, right? We had the Bush family as VP under Ragan, then Bush as President, then Clinton for 8 years, then the Bush family again for 8 more years, and you're stoked about having the Clintons for 8 additional years? Oh wate, how about we really mix it up and elect Bush's brother? Mabey Chelcy can hold the office in time. Bush, Clinton, Bush again, Clinton Again....so much for "anyone can become president".

Jerry....you're intelligent enough to know that the US cannot go it alone. That is the entire reason we have formed alliances such as NATO.
Bush thumbed his nose at many of our allies and his foreign policy has basically isolated the US. Sure, we still have England supporting us, but the goodwill of most of the rest of Europe and certainly other countries around the world has put the stability of the US and the world in jeopardy.
Bush supporters love to talk about how Bush is supporting us. The reality is, if you look at the facts, Bush has put us in a much more dangerous position.

It isn't about "how the rest of the world sees us", its about whether we have the support of our Allies.

If it were about our allies suporting us, then that's what they would say.

That's not what they are saying, so that's not what it's about.

Sodam was about to base his oil off of the Eruro and not the dollar, and that posed a great threat to our economy. Allied suport be damed, if they don't want to suport us then they weren't our allies to begin with. I for sure don't need my naighbors opruval to difend my family, I just do it and **** the naighboor's opinion.

Hillary is dangerous because she wants to try and apease terrorists. Well, that's what Europ tried to do, and now look at them, they're practicly a muslim nation. Hillary will open the door to making the US a muslim nation.

If you want your grandoughters to be forced to ware the burqa, vote for Hillary.

A vote for Hillary is a vote for radical Islam.

Having said that, the rest of the candidates aren't much better. Personaly I would go with Ruddy if I had to vote today, because he's not into apeasment, he's into killing bad guys.

LOL. Who fears ya????

You just make things up as you go. List the allies he's thumbed his nose at.

Germany.info : Government & Politics: German-U.S. Relations: Facts

I find it hilarious how Germany & France voted for Pro American candidates.

Bush has strengthened our position and has given us even more leverage in the world.

It isn't about "how the rest of the world sees us", its about whether we have the support of our Allies.

I just showed you how we have the support of our allies.

You try so desperately to pass your delusions off as fact.

Sorry DisneyDude, but your post is once again, Mickey Mouse.

Saw a lot in there about business and economic ties and not a single mention about support for OUR forgein policy in regards to Iraq.

"The BBC's diplomatic correspondent Jonathan Marcus says France has changed its approach to world affairs under its new President Nicolas Sarkozy, adopting a harder line on several issues, and seeking to improve relations with the United States."

BBC NEWS | Europe | France warning of war with Iran

Oh, and Frances position on our involvement in Iraq was never brought up.

DD only had blanket statements posted with no links/sources.

Troll on, troll on.

Troll on, troll on.

I brought it up so deal. Also I suspect DD was talking about morethan trade. Heck one of our biggest trading nations is a Communist nation! I bet ya just love that don't ya?

Oh and as far as the world view of the US it doesn't look good:

World View of US Role Goes From Bad to Worse
The global view of the United States’ role in world affairs has significantly deteriorated over the last year according to a BBC World Service poll of more than 26,000 people across 25 different countries.

President Bush announces his new Iraq strategy on 11 January 2007 (Eric Draper/White House photo)

As the United States government prepares to send a further 21,500 troops to Iraq, the survey reveals that three in four (73%) disapprove of how the US government has dealt with Iraq.

This was first done in 1994. It shows Clinton leading the attack on workers joined with Gingrich, Dole and Limbaugh ( he cheered for the process when Democrat President Clinton and a Democrat controlled Congress passed both unfair NAFTA and GATT trade agreements.) President Bush joined the attack in 2001. It shows him riding shot gun as the new Doctor Strangelove of our times.

See Back to the Future - Bill Clinton followed Bush the First with Bush the Second following Bill Clinton with Hillary ready to follow Bush the Second.
Electing Hillary is like putting the fox in charge of the chicken coop. Click on Back to the Future with the Clintons Following Bush Who Followed the Clintons etc
Bush the Second most likely will let her borrow his leather flight jacket to wear when she is standing on an aircraft carrier trying to appear macho too.
Just imagine how that will play in the Middle East.

Hillary is not a centrist she has alot of socialist polices, but I agree that we need a moderate democrat or moderate republican to restore our image in the world.
