IMO they only affirmed what most people already understood to be true.
Obama accidentally killed an innocent American citizen in a drone strike. He can't be held criminally or civilly liable for that because it was part of his official duties. I know this will come as a shock to my freinds on the left but aobama is a mortal and mortals make mistakes. Presidents can't be made to 2nd guess these type of things. They have to be given a free hand to act.
Trump isn't in the clear yet either because now a lower court must decide if his actions were personal or official acts of his office. I would say they were official acts because he was investigating election fraud but I can see the courts going the other way on this. The.left is salty that it's going to take some time to sort out the answer to that question.
I doubt that “investigating election fraud” (in several states?) will be found to be a presidential power, beyond asking the DOJ to look into the matter.
