No, that’s not right or what I said at all. I’m sorry, but voters in general can be really lazy and will vote based on what they can glean from a person’s name. I admit to doing it myself when George P. Bush ran for something around here. For all I know, he’s the biggest liar/fraud out there but I have a generally postive view of the Bush family so, even though I should know better, I voted for him. I live in El Paso and I’m sorry if it’s uncomfortable but it’s true that having a Spanish or Mexican sounding name helps somewhat just as having “Kennedy” attached to your name is likely beneficial in other parts of the US.
