No, that’s not right or what I said at all. I’m sorry, but voters in general can be really lazy and will vote based on what they can glean from a person’s name. I admit to doing it myself when George P. Bush ran for something around here. For all I know, he’s the biggest liar/fraud out there but I have a generally postive view of the Bush family so, even though I should know better, I voted for him. I live in El Paso and I’m sorry if it’s uncomfortable but it’s true that having a Spanish or Mexican sounding name helps somewhat just as having “Kennedy” attached to your name is likely beneficial in other parts of the US.

Feminist, atheist, vegan, ecologist, naturalist (kinda), slut (in my younger years)... I'm all that. I support human and animal rights. I support gay rights.

You know, I bet this is going to cause a lot of surprise but I think this is a disgraceful PoS thread. O'Rourke says enough dumb **** now that what he said or did thirty years ago is inconsequential. I speak up for conservatives every time I argue economics or foreign policy. I never crap talk conservatives. You will not find a single post in my ten years here denigrating conservatives. I've defended Trump on a number of occasions including, "fine people" from day 1.


Regarding cops:

It is, and it's a greater threat to society worthy of every possible resource. When someone murders for money or "passion", it's not really a direct threat to the rest of us. It's a specific attack with a specific purpose. When someone kills a cop, it's a random act of lethal aggression against authority and our protectors. That person will kill anyone for any reason. They will certainly continue to kill until captured. They are a real and immediate threat to everyone, and they make our police sitting ducks in bright target uniforms.

It's different. It's worse, and it's a far greater threat to society.

Drones are awesome. Not using them for security would be stupid.

I'm for all that. And helping police recognize a deep problem and notify others.

I have nothing against cops and great respect for their service. You need your opponent to be a strawman for your "points" to make any sense. Your position is victimhood, nothing more.

You gonna keep lying to make yourself feel better?
