Clinton was a disgrace to the office of the presidency....He was a man with no morals........
Yeah as if our current President can even spell morals no less possess them! :2wave:

1. FDR
2. JFK
3. WJC
4. Truman
5. Carter
6. IKE
7. Ford
8. LBJ
9 & 10 are tied = Bush 41 & Raygun
11. Nixon
12. Bush 43

I never thought I'd see a President worse than Nixon but Bush 43 is as bad as it gets. What other President in the last 100 years STARTED a war and used lies to do it?

Well, LBJ did. But even LBJ wasn't as bad as W. The war in Vietnam didn't have any long term repercussions for American foreign policy...I doubt we'll be able to say the same about the catastrophuck in Iraq.

I do not believe that LBJ started the Vietnam War, American troops were already there when he took office.

What LBJ did (using the terminology that butt kissing Condi Rice tried to get dimwitted Americans to believe) was "AUGMENT" (vs. escalate) America's presence in Vietnam.

It's remarkeable to me that anyone would have surpassed Nixon as the worst President, almost inconceivable! When people describe Bush as a lame duck what they really mean is that he is "LAME" since he wields very little clout at this point and virtually the entire world is against him and his policies.

Clinton saved your country from ruin.. You should be a bit appreciative even if you are conservative.

nonesense but I agree with you on one thing-If you are a non american Clinton was probably the best president and Bush the worst

For us Americans Carter was the worst by far

If you exhibited some reading comprehension and read the title of the thread you would not have wasted everyone's time with your petty comment about me. I wrote on the topic...you, typically, wrote about a Forum member rather than contributing to the topic which just in case you've forgotten once more is:

Best/worst President in recent history...

I'm like Gunny in separating domestic and foreign policy.

I'd say the worst for foreign policy of those listed was Carter, and the worst for domestic policy is the current resident.

Best for foreign policy is Reagan (though certainly not for domestic), and the best for domestic was Clinton.

Kennedy is best since ww2, though, and for me, he is recent. If I remember them, I can only consider them recent.

Otherwise, I'm just a relic.

I am just amazed at how delusional some people are. George W. Bush will be ranked as one of the worst presidents in recent history and in 100 years--remote history.

Best for domestic policy: William Clinton - John Kennedy
Worst for domestic policy: George W. Bush - Richard Nixon

Best for foreign policy: Dutch Reagan - Franklin Roosevelt - Richard Nixon
Worst for foreign policy: Jimmy Carter - George W. Bush

This poll shows everybody wants Clinton back in the White House.

Dude, you are soooo wrong. Not everybody wants him back. Everybody, except for the real far out wackos, want him back.

What is truly surprising to me is that as of this post at least 5 members of DP actually chose Bush 43 as the "best ever"!

How incredibly bizarre is that? The President who will most likely go down as the worst President in the post Industrial Age actually still has some kool aid drinking supporters, it's stunning.

I cannot think of any other President that has been caught lying to the American people more than Bush 43 yet some of you think he's the "best." That's a mighty low bar of excellence if Bush 43 is the best anything.

The only President to start a war is the best ever?

The only President to illegally wiretap other Americans is the best ever?

The only President to deny habeas corpus and to imprison people for years without charges is the best ever?

The only President to swoop people off the streets of America and whisk them to secret prisons in countries like Syria to be tortured and killed is the best ever?

The President who turned his back on an entire region of the USA after Hurricane Katrina is the best ever?

The President whose public record was so dismal that the American public through out his party from Congress is the best ever?

The above points are only scratching the surface of the depth of Bush 43's failures that for any of you to suggest that he is the best President is truly scary.

Those of you who are Clinton haters I defy you to compare the two President's records...remove the two guys worst parts; Clinton's affairs and Bush's WAR and then tell me who's the better President...even though putting blow jobs in the same sentence as starting a WAR that's killed hundreds of thousands is insanity...

Except that Clinton's worst blunder was not his affairs or the illicit oval office sex or the lies under oath which led up to his impeachment.

The biggest Clinton blunders were allowing al queda to continue terrorizing this country. i.e., WTC '93, Embassy bombings, and the USS Cole attack.

Your criticism of war, by the way, is ridiculous. Do you equally dispise all the other presidents who presided over this country during wartime? Thank God our country fought throughout the decades to preserve your right to spew your jealous hate.

And you know this how?
She has a crystal ball. ;)

I remember this country dispising Gerald Ford (myself included) for pardoning Nixon after Watergate. There was no debating the fact that the pardon secured Ford's place as one of the worst president's ever.

Then a quarter century passed.

At the lengthy funeral proceedings, reporters. pundits, Republicans and Democrats alike, praised that single decision as the best thing he could have done, how it helped heal our country and how it defined his legacy.

I'll wait and see if the Middle East turns out (which will take years) before trying to predict Bush's place in history.

But then again, aps has her trusty crystal ball.

I don't recall any of those other Presidents making up sh!t to start a war, do you?

I don't remember any of those Presidents starting a war where the US actually started the war, do you?

If you're going to blame Clinton for terrorist acts outside of the USA then how come you're not blaming Bush for the terrorist acts that have happened in London, Madrid, Athens etc?

Bush's record speaks for itself and as does what the US public and the world opinion thinks of Bush versus what they think of President Clinton....like everything else Bush is the loser, again....:2wave:

You sound like a Franken supporter. Are you in Minnesota? :rofl You spit out the same sound bites that he does!

I've never seen partisan jealousy do to a person what it does to you!

Setting your sophomoric profanity aside...

When you post something as ridiculous as the President makes up reasons to fight the war on terror, then I will respond with something equally as inane. Let us know when you want to debate like an adult.

I'm oh so curious to read how starting a war in Iraq in 2003 was fighting the war on terror? Especially when we stopped hunting for OBL and instead put most of our resources into a worthless, pointless and incredibly poorly executed war...or do you think that the battle plan in Iraq was well done?

But you know what CA, this is about Presidents, not Iraq yet as you almost always do you attack posters like you have me and APS in this thread and if you look at the posts you written in this thread not a one of them addresses the subject which, no coincidence, is how you participate in almost every thread...if nothing else you're consistent in not ever debating and always trolling...

Fellas, please! get a room!

it's pretty obvious, CA, that 26 X World Champs was talking about Iraq, not the war on terror with this statement: "I don't recall any of those other Presidents making up sh!t to start a war, do you?" Furthermore, C.A., you can make your posts as inane as what you misread into others' posts, sure. We've all seen it before. It contributes nothing.

so how about a private debate? did Bush "make up sh!t to start a war?"

please, y'all, go to it.

I'm up to the challenge...but you wanna bet that CA will not even respond?
